of the East . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,X,20G.262)

31 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,X,20G.263)

These are the sonnes of Shem , after their families , after their
tongues , in their lands after their nations .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,X,20G.264)

32 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,X,20G.265)

These are the families of the sonnes of Noah after their generations ,
in their nations : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,X,20G.266)

and by these were the nations diuided in the earth after the Flood .

{COM:introduction_omitted}

1 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.273)

And the whole earth was of one language , and of one speach .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.274)

2 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.275)

And it came to passe as they iourneyed from the East , that they found
a plane in the land of Shiner , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.276)

and they dwelt there . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.277)

3 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.278)

And they sayd one to another ; Goe to , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.279)

let vs make bricke , and burne them thorowly .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.280)

And they had bricke for stone , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.281)

and slime had they for morter . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.282)

4 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.283)

And they said ; Goe to , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.284)

let vs build vs a city and a tower , whose top may reach
unto heauen , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.285)

and let vs make vs a name , lest we be scattered abroad upon the face
of the whole earth . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.286)

5 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.287)

And the Lord came downe to see the city and the tower , which the
children of men builded . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.288)

6 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.289)

And the Lord said ; Behold , the people is one ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.290)

and they haue all one language :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.291)

and this they begin to doe : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.292)

and now nothing will be restrained from them , which they haue imagined
to doe . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.293)

7 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.294)

Goe to , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.295)

let vs go downe , and there co~found their language , that they may not
understand one anothers speech . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.296)

8 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.297)

So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence , upon the face of all
the earth : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.298)

and they left off to build the Citie . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.299)

9 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.300)

Therefore is the name of it called Babel , because the Lord did there
confound the language of all the earth : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.301)

and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all
the earth . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.302)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.303)

These are the generations of Shem .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.304)

and begate Arphaxad two yeeres after the Flood .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.306)

And Arphaxad liued , after he begate Salah , foure hundred and thre

and begate sonnes and daughters . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.315)

14 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.316)

And Salah liued thirtie yeere ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.317)

and begate Eber . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.318)

15 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.319)

And Salah liued , after hee begat Eber , foure hundred and three yeere

and begate sonnes and daughters . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.321)

16 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.322)

And Eber liued foure and thirty yeeres , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.323)

and begate Peleg . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.324)

17 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.325)

And Eber liued , after hee begate Peleg , foure hundred and thirtie
yeres (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.326)

and begate sonnes and daughters . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.327)

18 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.328)

And Peleg liued thirtie yeeres (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.329)

and begate Reu . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.330)

19 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.331)

And Peleg liued , after hee began Reu , two hundred and nine yeeres ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.332)

and begate sonnes and daughters . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,1G.333)

<P_XI,20G>

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.335)

And Reu liued two and thirtie yeeres , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.336)

and begate Serug . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.337)

21 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.338)

And Reu liued , after hee begate Serug , two hundreth and seuen yeres ;
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.339)

and begate sonnes and daughters . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.340)

22 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.341)

And Serug liued thirtie yeeres ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.342)

and begate Nahor . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.343)

Z3 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.344)

And Serug liued , after he begate Nahor , two hundred yeeres ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.345)

and begat sonnes and daughters . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.346)

24 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.347)

And Nahor liued nine and twentie yeeres , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.348)

and begate Terah . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.349)

25 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.350)

And Nahor liued , after he begate Terah , an hundred & nineteene yeeres
, (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.351)

and begate sonnes and daughters . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.352)

26 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.353)

And Terah liued seuenty yeeres , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.354)

and begate Abram , Nahor , & Haran . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.355)

27 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.356)

Now these are the generations of Terah : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.357)

Terah begate Abram , Nahor , and Haran : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.358)

And Haran begate Lot . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.359)

28 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.360)

And Haran died , before his father Terah in the land of his natiuity ,
in Vr of the Chaldees . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.361)

29 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.362)

And Abram and Nahor tooke them wiues : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.363)

the name of Abrams wife was Sarai , and the name of Nahors wife ,
Milcah , the daughter of Haran , the father of Milcah , and the father
of Iscah . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.364)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.365)

But Sarai was barren ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.366)

she had no childe . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.367)

31 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XI,20G.368)

And Terah tooke Abram his sonne , and Lot the sonne of Haran his sonnes

1 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.381)

After these things , the word of the Lord came vnto Abram in a vision ,
saying ; Feare not , Abram : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.382)

I am thy shield , and thy exceeding great reward .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.383)

2 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.384)

And Abram said , Lord God , what wilt thou giue me , seeing I goe
childlesse ? and the steward of my house is this Eliezer
of Damascus . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.385)

3 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.386)

And Abram said ; Behold , to mee thou hast giuen no seed :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.387)

and loe , one borne in my house is mine heire .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.388)

4 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.389)

And behold , the word of the Lord came vnto him , saying ; This shall
not be thine heire : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.390)

but he that shall come foorth out of thy owne bowels , $shall $be
{TEXT:shalbe} thine heire . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.391)

5 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.392)

And he brought him forth abroad , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.393)

and said , Looke now towards heauen , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.394)

and tell the starres , if thou be able to number them .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.395)

And hee said vnto him , So shall thy seed be .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.396)

6 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.397)

And he beleeued in the Lord ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.398)

and hee counted it to him for righteousnesse .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.399)

7 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.400)

And he said vnto him ; I am the Lord that brought thee out of Vr of the
Caldees , to giue thee this land , to inherit it .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.401)

8 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.402)

And he said , Lord God , whereby shal I know that I shall inherit it ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.403)

9 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.404)

And he said vnto him , Take me an heifer of three yeeres old , and a
shee goat of three yeeres old , and a ramme of three yeeres old , and a
turtle doue , and a yong pigeon . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.405)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.406)

And he tooke vnto him all these , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.407)

and diuided them in the midst , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.408)

and layd each peece one against another : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.409)

but the birds diuided he not . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.410)

11 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.411)

And when the fowles came downe upon the carcases , Abram droue them
away . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.412)

12 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.413)

And when the Sunne was going downe , a deepe sleepe fell upon Abram :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.414)

and loe , an horrour of great darkenesse fell upon him .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.415)

13 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.416)

And he said vnto Abram , Know of a surety , that thy seed $shall $be
{TEXT:shalbe} a stranger , in a land that is not theirs , and shal
serue them , and they shall afflict them foure hundred yeeres .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.417)

14 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.418)

And also that nation whom they shall serue , wil I judge :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.419)

and afterward shall they come out with great substance .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.420)

15 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.421)

And thou shall goe to thy fathers in peace ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.422)

thou shall be buried in a good old age . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.423)

16 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.424)

But in the fourth generation they shall come hither againe :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.425)

for the iniquitie of the Amorites is not yet full .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.426)

17 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.427)

And it came to passe that when the Sunne went downe , and it was darke
, behold , a smoking furnace , and a burning lampe that passed betweene
those pieces . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.428)

18 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1G.429)

In that same day the Lord made a couenant with Abram , saying ; Vnto
thy seed haue I giuen this land from the riuer of Egypt vnto the great
riuer , the riuer Euphrates : 19 The Kenites , and the Kenizites , and
the Kadmonites : <P_XV,20G> And the Hittites , and the Perizzites , and
the Rephaims , 21 And the Amorites , and the Canaanites , and the

Now Sarai Abrams wife bare him no children ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.437)

and she had an handmaide , an Egyptian , whose name was Hagar .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.438)

2 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.439)

And Sarai said unto Abram , Behold now , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.440)

the Lord hath restrained me from bearing : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.441)

I pray thee go in vnto my maid : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.442)

it may bee that I may obtaine children by her :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.443)

and Abran hearkened to the voice of Sarai . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.444)

3 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.445)

And Sarai Abrams wife , took Hagar her maid , the Egyptian , after
Abram had dwelt ten yeeres in the land of Canaan ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.446)

and gaue her to her husband Abram , to be his wife .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.447)

4 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.448)

And he went in vnto Hagar (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.449)

and she conceiued : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.450)

And when shee saw that shee had conceiued , her mistresse was despised
in her eyes . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.451)

5 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.452)

And Sarai said vnto Abram , My wrong be upon thee :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.453)

I haue giuen my maid into thy bosome , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.454)

and when she saw that she had conceiued , I was despised in her eyes :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.455)

the Lord iudge betweene me and thee . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.456)

6 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.457)

But Abram said vnto Sarai , Behold , thy maid is in thy
hand ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.458)

doe to her as it pleaseth thee . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.459)

And when Sarai dealt hardly with her , shee fled from her face .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.460)

7 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.461)

And the Angel of the Lord found her by a fountaine of water , in the
wildernesse , by the fountaine , in the way to Shur :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.462)

8 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.463)

And he said Hagar Sarais maid , whence camest thou ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.464)

and whither will thou goe ? (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.465)

And she said , I flee from the face of my mistresse Sarai .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.466)

9 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.467)

And the Angel of the Lord said vnto her , Returne to thy mistresse ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.468)

and submit thy selfe vnder her hands . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.469)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.470)

And the Angel of the Lord said vnto her , I will multiply thy seede
exceedingly , that it shall not be numbred for multitude .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.471)

11 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.472)

And the Angel of the Lord said vnto her , Behold , thou art with child
, (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.473)

and shall beare a sonne , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.474)

and shall call his name Ishmael ; because the Lord hath heard thy
affliction . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.475)

12 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.476)

And he will be a wilde man ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.477)

his hand will be against euery man , and euery mans hand against him :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.478)

& he shal dwell in the presence of all his brethren .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.479)

13 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.480)

And shee called the name of the Lord that spake vnto her , Thou God
seest me : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.481)

for she said , Haue I also here looked after him that seeth me ? 14
Wherefore the well was called , Beer-lahai-roi :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.482)

Behold , It is betweene Cadesh and Bered . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.483)

15 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.484)

And Hagar bare Abram a sonne : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.485)

and Abram called his sonnes name , which Hagar bare , Ishmael .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.486)

16 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVI,1G.487)

And when Abram was ninetie yeres old and nine , the Lord appeared to

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.496)

walke before me , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.497)

and be thou perfect . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.498)

2 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.499)

And I wil make my couenant betweene me and thee ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.500)

and will multiply thee exceedingly . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.501)

3 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.502)

And Abram fell on his face , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.503)

and God talked with him , saying , 4 As for me behold , my couenant is
with thee , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.504)

and thou shall be a father of many nations .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.505)

5 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.506)

Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.507)

but thy name shall bee Abraham : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.508)

for a father of many nations haue I made thee ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.509)

6 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.510)

And I will make thee exceeding fruitfull , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.511)

and I will make nations of thee , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.512)

and Kings shall come out of thee . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.513)

7 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.514)

And I will establish my couenant betweene me and thee , and thy seede
after thee , in their generations for an euerlasting couenant , to bee
a God vnto thee , and to thy seed after thee .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.515)

8 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.516)

And I will giue vnto thee , and to thy seed after thee , the land
wherein thou art a stranger , all the land of Canaan for an euerlasting
possession , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.517)

and I will be their God . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.518)

9 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.519)

And God said vnto Abraham , Thou shall keepe my couenant therefore ,
thou , and thy seede after thee , in their generations .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.520)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.521)

This is my couenant , which yee shall keepe betweene me and you , and
thy seed after thee : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.522)

euery man-child among you shall be circumcised .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.523)

11 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.524)

And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskinne :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.525)

and it shal be a token of the couenant betwixt me and you .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.526)

12 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.527)

And he that is eight dayes olde , $shall $be {TEXT:shalbe} circumcised
among you , euery man child in your generations , he that is borne in
the house , or bought with money of any stranger , which is not of thy
seed . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.528)

13 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.529)

He that is borne in thy house , and he that is bought with thy money ,
must needs be circumcised : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.530)

and my couenant shall be in your flesh , for an euerlasting couenant .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.531)

14 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.532)

And the vncircumcised man-child , whose flesh of his foreskinne is not
circumcised , that soule shall be cut off from his people :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.533)

hee hath broken my couenant . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.534)

15 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.535)

And God said vnto Abraham , As for Sarai thy wife , thou shalt not call
her name Sarai , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.536)

but Sarah shall her name be .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.537)

16 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.538)

And I will blesse her , and giue thee a sonne also of her :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.539)

yea I wil blesse her , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.540)

and she $shall $be {TEXT:shalbe} a mother of nations ;
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.541)

Kings of people shall be of her . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.542)

17 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.543)

Then Abraham fell upon his face (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.544)

and laughed (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.545)

and said in his heart , Shall a child be borne vnto him
that is an hundred Yeeres old ? (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.546)

and shal Sarah that is ninetie yeeres old beare ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.547)

18 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.548)

And Abraham said vnto God , O that Ishmael might liue before thee ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.549)

19 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.550)

And God said , Sarah thy wife shall beare thee a sonne in deede ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.551)

and thou shalt call his name Isaac : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.552)

and I will establish my couenant with him , for an euerlasting couenant
, and with his seed after him .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,1G.553)

<P_XVII,20G>

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.555)

And as for Ishmael , I haue heard thee : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.556)

behold , I haue blessed him , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.557)

and will make him fruitfull , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.558)

and will multiplie him exceedingly : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.559)

Twelue princes shall he beget , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.560)

and I will make him a great nation . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.561)

21 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.562)

But my couenant wil I establish with Isaac , which Sarah shall beare
vnto thee , at this set time , in the next yeere .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.563)

22 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.564)

And he left off talking with him , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.565)

and God went vp from Abraham . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.566)

23 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.567)

And Abraham tooke Ishmael his sonne , and all that were borne in his
house , and all that were bought with his money , euery male , among
the men of Abrahams house , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.568)

and circumcised the flesh of their foreskinne , in the selfesame day ,
as God had said vnto him . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.569)

24 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.570)

And Abraham was ninety yeeres old and nine , when he was
circumcised in the flesh of his foreskinne .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.571)

25 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.572)

And Ishmael his sonne was thirteene yeeres old , when he
was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskinne .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.573)

26 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.574)

In the selfe same day was Abraham circumcised , and Ishmael his sonne .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.575)

27 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVII,20G.576)

And all the men of his house , borne in the house , and bought with
money of the stranger , were circumcised with him .

CHAP. XVIII . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.580)

{COM:introduction_omitted}

1 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.583)

And the Lord appeared vnto him , in the plaines of Mamre :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.584)

and he sate in the tent doore , in the heat of the day .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.585)

2 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.586)

And he lift vp his eyes (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.587)

and looked , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.588)

and loe , three men stood by him (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.589)

and when he saw them , hee ranne to meete them from the
tent doore , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.590)

and bowed himselfe toward the ground , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.591)

3 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.592)

And said , My Lord , If now I haue found fauour in thy sight , pass not
away , I pray thee , fro {COM:sic} thy seruant :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.593)

4 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.594)

Let a little water , I pray you , be fetched ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.595)

and wash your feete , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.596)

and rest your selues vnder the tree : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.597)

5 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.598)

And I will fetch a morsell of bread ; and comfort ye your hearts ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.599)

after that you shall passe on : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.600)

For therefore are you come to your seruant .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.601)

And they said ; So doe , as thou hast said .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.602)

6 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.603)

And Abraham hastened into the tent , vnto Sarah ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.604)

& said ; Make ready quickly three measures of fine meale ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.605)

knead it , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.606)

and make cakes upon the hearth . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.607)

7 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.608)

And Abraham ranne vnto the heard , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.609)

and fetcht a calfe , tender and good , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.610)

and gaue it vnto a yong man : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.611)

and he hasted to dresse it . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.612)

8 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.613)

And he tooke butter , and milke , and the calfe which he had dressed ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.614)

and set it before them ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.615)

and he stood by then vnder the tree : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.616)

and they did eate . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.617)

9 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.618)

And they said vnto him , Where is Sarah thy wife ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.619)

And he said , Behold , in the tent . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.620)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.621)

And he said , I will certainly returne vnto thee according to the time
of life ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.622)

and loe , Sarah thy wife shall haue a sonne .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.623)

And Sarah heard it in the tent doore , which was behind
him . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.624)

11 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.625)

Now Abraham and Sarah were old , and well stricken in age :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.626)

and it ceased to be with Sarah after the maner of women
. (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.627)

12 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.628)

Therefore Sarah laughed within her selfe , saying , After I am waxed
old , shall I haue pleasure , my lord being old also ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.629)

13 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.630)

And the Lord said vnto Abraham , Wherefore did Sarah laugh , saying ;
Shall I of a surety beare a childe , which am old ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.631)

14 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.632)

Is any thing too hard for the Lord ? (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.633)

At the time appointed will I returne vnto thee , according to the time
of life , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.634)

and Sarah shall haue a sonne . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.635)

15 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.636)

Then Sarah denied , saying , I laughed not :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.637)

for she was afraid . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.638)

And he said , Nay , but thou diddest laugh .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.639)

16 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.640)

And the men rose vp from thence , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.641)

and looked toward Sodome : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.642)

and Abraham went with them , to bring them on the way .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.643)

17 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.644)

And the Lord said , Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I doe ;
18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation ,
and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.645)

19 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.646)

For I know him , that hee will command his children , and his household
after him , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.647)

and they shall keepe the way of the Lord , to doe justice and judgement
, that the Lord may bring upon Abraham ; that which hee hath spoken of
him . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1G.648)

<P_XVIII,20G>

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.650)

And the Lord said , Because the cry of Sodome and Gomorrah is great ,
and because their sinne is very grieuous : 21 I will goe downe now ,
and see whether they haue done altogether according to the cry of it ,
which is come vnto me : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.651)

and if not , I will know . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.652)

22 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.653)

And the men turned their faces from thence ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.654)

and went toward Sodome : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.655)

but Abraham stood yet before the Lord . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.656)

23 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.657)

And Abraham drew neere , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.658)

and said , Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.659)

24 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.660)

Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the citie ;
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.661)

wilt thou also destroy , and not spare the place for the fiftie
righteous , that are herein ? (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.662)

25 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.663)

That be farre from thee , to do after this maner , to slay the
righteous with the wicked , and that the righteous should be as the
wicked , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.664)

that be farre from thee : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.665)

Shall not the Iudge of all the earth doe right ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.666)

26 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.667)

And the Lord said , If I find in Sodom fiftie righteous within the
citie , then I will spare all the place for their sakes .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.668)

27 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.669)

And Abraham answered , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.670)

and said , Behold now , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.671)

I haue taken vpon me to speake vnto the Lord , which am but dust and
ashes . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.672)

28 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.673)

Peradventure there shall lacke fiue of the fiftie righteous :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.674)

wilt thou destroy all the citie for lacke of fiue ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.675)

And he said , If I find there fourtie and fiue , I will not destroy
it . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.676)

29 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.677)

And hee spake vnto him yet againe (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.678)

and said , Peradventure there shall be fourtie found there :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.679)

and he said , I will not doe it for fourties sake .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.680)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.681)

And he said vnto him , Oh let not the Lord be angry ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.682)

and I will speake : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.683)

Peradventure there shall thirtie bee found there .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.684)

And he said , I will not doe it , if I find thirtie
there . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.685)

31 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.686)

And he said , Behold now , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.687)

I haue taken upon mee to speake vnto the Lord :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.688)

Peradventure there shall bee twenty found there .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.689)

And he said , I will not destroy it for twenties sake .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.690)

32 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.691)

And hee saide , Oh let not the Lord be angry ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.692)

and I will speake yet but this once : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.693)

Peradventure ten shall be found there . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.694)

And he said , I will not destroy it for tennes sake .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.695)

33 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.696)

And the Lord went his way , assoone as hee had left communing with
Abraham : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.697)

and Abraham returned vnto his place . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20G.698)

{COM:introduction_omitted}

1 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.704)

And there came two Angels to Sodome at euen (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.705)

and Lot sate in the gate of Sodome : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.706)

and Lot seeing them , rose vp to meet them ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.707)

and he bowed himselfe with his face toward the ground .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.708)

2 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.709)

And he said , Beholde now my Lords , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.710)

turne in , I pray you , into your seruants house ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.711)

and tarie all night , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.712)

and wash your feete , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.713)

and ye shall rise vp early and goe on your wayes .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.714)

And they said , Nay : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.715)

but we wil abide in the street all night . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.716)

3 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.717)

And he pressed upon them greatly , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.718)

and they turned in vnto him , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.719)

and entred into his house : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.720)

and he made them a feast , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.721)

and did bake vnleauened bread , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.722)

and they did eate . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.723)

4 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.724)

But before they lay downe , the men of the citie , euen
the men of Sodom , compassed the house round , both old and yong , all
the people from euery quarter . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.725)

5 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.726)

And they called vnto Lot , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.727)

and said vnto him , Where are the men which came in to thee this night
? (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.728)

bring them out vnto vs , that we may know them .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.729)

6 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.730)

And Lot went out at the doore vnto them , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.731)

& shut the doore after him , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.732)

7 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.733)

And said , I pray you , brethren , doe not so wickedly .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.734)

8 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.735)

Behold now , I haue two daughters , which haue not knowen man ;
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.736)

let mee , I pray you , bring them out vnto you ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.737)

and doe ye to them , as is good in your eyes :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.738)

onely vnto these men do nothing : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.739)

for therefore came they vnder the shadow of my roofe .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.740)

9 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.741)

And they said , Stand backe . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.742)

And they said againe , This one fellow came in to
soiourne , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.743)

and he will needs bee a Iudge : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.744)

Now wil we deale worse with thee , then with them .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.745)

And they pressed sore upon the man , euen Lot ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.746)

and came neere to breake the doore . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.747)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.748)

But the men put forth their hand , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.749)

and pulled Lot into the house to them , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.750)

and shut to the doore . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.751)

11 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.752)

And they smote the men that were at the doore of the
house , with blindnes , both small and great : so that they wearied
themselues to finde the doore . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.753)

12 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.754)

And the men said vnto Lot , Hast thou here any besides ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.755)

sonne in law , and thy sonnes , and thy daughters , and whatsoeuer thou
hast in the citie , bring them out of this place .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.756)

13 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.757)

For we will destroy this place , because the crie of them is waxen
great before the face of the Lord : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.758)

and the Lord hath sent vs to destroy it . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.759)

14 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.760)

And Lot went out , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.761)

and spake vnto his sonnes in law , which married his daughters ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.762)

and said , Vp , get yee out of this place : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.763)

for the Lord wil destroy this citie : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.764)

but hee seemed as one that mocked , vnto his sonnes in law .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.765)

15 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.766)

And when the morning arose , then the Angels hastened Lot , saying ,
Arise , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.767)

take thy wife , & thy two daughters , which are here , lest thou be
consumed in the iniquitie of the citie . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.768)

16 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.769)

And while he lingred , the men laid hold upon his hand , and upon the
hand of his wife , and upon the hand of his two daughters , the Lord
being mercifull vnto him : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.770)

and they brought him forth , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.771)

and set him without the citie . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.772)

17 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.773)

And it came to passe , when they had brought them forth abroad , that
he said , Escape for thy life , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.774)

looke not behind thee , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.775)

neither stay thou in all the plaine : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.776)

escape to the mountaine , lest thou bee consumed .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.777)

18 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.778)

And Lot said vnto them , Oh not so , my Lord .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.779)

19 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.780)

Beholde now , thy seruant hath found grace in thy sight ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.781)

and thou hast magnified thy mercy , which thou hast shewed vnto me , in
sauing my life , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.782)

and I $can $not {TEXT:cannot} escape to the mountaine , lest some euill
take me , and I die . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,1G.783)

<P_XIX,20G>

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.785)

Behold now , this citie is neere to flee vnto ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.786)

and it is a litle one : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.787)

Oh let me escape thither , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.788)

<paren> is it not a litle one ? </paren> (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.789)

and my soule shall liue . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.790)

21 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.791)

And he said vnto him , See , I haue accepted thee concerning this thing
, that I will not ouerthrow this citie , for the which thou hast spoken
. (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.792)

22 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.793)

Haste thee , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.794)

escape thither : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.795)

for I $can $not {TEXT:cannot} doe any thing till thou bee come thither
: (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.796)

therefore the name of the citie was called Zoar .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.797)

23 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.798)

The sunne was risen upon the earth , when Lot entred into Zoar .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.799)

24 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.800)

Then the Lord rained upon Sodome & upon Gomorrah , brimstone and fire ,
from the Lord out of heauen . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.801)

25 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.802)

And he ouerthrew those cities , and all the plaine , and all the
inhabitants of the cities , and that which grew upon the ground .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.803)

26 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.804)

But his wife looked backe from behind him , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.805)

and she became a pillar of salt . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.806)

27 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.807)

And Abraham gate vp earely in the morning , to the place , where hee
stood before the Lord . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.808)

28 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.809)

And he looked toward Sodome and Gomorrah , & toward all the land of the
plaine , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.810)

and beheld , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.811)

and loe , the smoke of the countrey went vp as the smoke of a furnace .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.812)

29 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.813)

And it came to passe , when God destroyed the cities of the plaine ,
that God remembred Abraham , and sent Lot out of the midst of the
ouerthrow , when he ouerthrew the cities , in the which Lot dwelt .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.814)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.815)

And Lot went vp out of Zoar , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.816)

and dwelt in the mountaine , and his two daughters with him :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.817)

for hee feared to dwell in Zoar , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.818)

and he dwelt in a caue , he and his two daughters .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.819)

31 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.820)

And the first borne saide vnto the yonger , Our father is old ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.821)

and there is not a man in the earth , to come in vnto vs , after the
maner of all the earth . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.822)

32 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.823)

Come , let vs make our father drinke wine , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.824)

and we will lye with him that we may preserue seed of our father .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.825)

33 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.826)

And they made their father drink wine that night ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.827)

& the first borne went in , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.828)

and lay with her father : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.829)

and he perceiued not , when shee lay downe , nor when she arose .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.830)

34 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.831)

And it came to passe on the morrow , that the first borne said vnto the
yonger , Behold , I lay yesternight with my father :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.832)

let vs make him drink wine this night also ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.833)

and goe thou in (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.834)

and lye with him , that we may preserue seed of our father .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.835)

35 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.836)

And they made their father drink wine that night also ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.837)

and the yonger arose , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.838)

and lay with him ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.839)

and he perceiued not , when she lay downe , nor when she arose .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.840)

36 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.841)

Thus were both the daughters of Lot with childe by their father .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.842)

37 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.843)

And the first borne bare a sonne , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.844)

and called his name Moab : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.845)

the same is the father of the Moabites vnto this day .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.846)

38 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.847)

And the yonger , she also bare a sonne , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.848)

and called his name Ben-ammi : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XIX,20G.849)

the same is the father of the children of Ammon , vnto this day .

{COM:introduction_omitted}

1 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.856)

And Abraham iourneyed from thence , toward the South-Countrey ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.857)

and dwelled betweene Cadesh and Shur , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.858)

and soiourned in Gerar . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.859)

2 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.860)

And Abraham said of Sarah his wife , She is my sister :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.861)

And Abimelech King of Gerar sent , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.862)

and tooke Sarah . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.863)

3 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.864)

But God came to Abimelech in a dreame by night ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.865)

and said to him , Behold , thou art but a dead man , for
the woman which thou hast taken : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.866)

for shee is a mans wife . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.867)

4 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.868)

But Abimelech had not come neere her : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.869)

and he said , Lord , wilt thou slay also a righteous nation ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.870)

5 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.871)

Said he not vnto me , She is my sister ? (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.872)

and she , euen she herselfe said , Hee is my brother :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.873)

in the integritie of my heart , and innocencie of my hands haue I done
this . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.874)

6 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.875)

And God saide vnto him in a dreame , Yea , I know that thou didst this
in the integritie of thy heart : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.876)

for I also withheld thee from sinning against mee ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.877)

therefore suffered I thee not to touch her . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.878)

7 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.879)

Now therefore restore the man his wife : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.880)

for he is a Prophet , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.881)

and he shal pray for thee , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.882)

and thou shalt liue : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.883)

and if thou restore her not , know thou that thou shalt surely die ,
thou , and all that are thine . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.884)

8 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.885)

Therefore Abimelech rose earely in the morning ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.886)

and called all his seruants , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.887)

and told all these things in their eares : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.888)

and the men were sore afraid . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.889)

9 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.890)

Then Abimelech called Abraham , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.891)

and said vnto him , What hast thou done vnto vs ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.892)

and what haue I offended thee , that thou hast brought on me , and on
my kingdome a great sinne ? (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.893)

thou hast done deeds vnto mee that ought not to be done .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.894)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.895)

And Abimelech said onto Abraham , What sawest thou , that thou hast
done this thing ? (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.896)

11 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.897)

And Abraham said , Because I thought , Surely the feare of God is not
in this place : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.898)

and they will slay me for my wiues sake . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.899)

12 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.900)

And yet indeed shee is my sister : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.901)

she is the daughter of my father , but not the daughter
of my mother ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.902)

and shee became my wife . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.903)

13 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.904)

And it came to passe when God caused me to wander from my fathers house
, that I said vnto her , This is thy kindnesse which thou shall show
vnto me ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.905)

at euery place whither wee shall come , say of me , He is my brother .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.906)

14 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.907)

And Abimelech tooke sheepe and oxen , and men-seruants , and
womenseruants (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.908)

and gaue them vnto Abraham , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.909)

and restored him Sarah his wife . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.910)

15 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.911)

And Abimelech said , Behold , my land is before thee ;
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.912)

dwel where it pleaseth thee . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.913)

16 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.914)

And vnto Sarah hee said , Behold , I haue giuen thy brother a thousand
pieces of siluer : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.915)

behold , he is to thee a couering of the eyes , vnto all
that are with thee , and with all other :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.916)

thus shee was reproued . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.917)

17 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.918)

So Abraham prayed vnto God : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.919)

and God healed Abimelech , and his wife , and his maid-seruants ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.920)

and they bare children . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.921)

18 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.922)

For the Lord had fast closed vp all the wombes of the house of
Abimelech , because of Sarah Abrahams wife . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1G.923)

CHAP. XXI . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.926)

{COM:introduction_omitted}

1 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.929)

And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.930)

and the Lord did vnto Sarah as he had spoken .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.931)

2 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.932)

For Sarah conceiued , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.933)

and bare Abraham a sonne in his old age , at the set time , of which
God had spoken to him . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.934)

3 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.935)

And Abraham called the name of his sonne , that was borne vnto him ,
whom Sarah bare to him , Isaac . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.936)

4 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.937)

And Abraham circumcised his sonne Isaac , being eight dayes old , as
God had commanded him . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.938)

5 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.939)

And Abraham was an hundred yeeres old , when his sonne Isaac was borne
vnto him . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.940)

6 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.941)

And Sarah said , God hath made me to laugh , so that all
that heare , will laugh with me . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.942)

7 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.943)

And she said , Who would haue said vnto Abraham , that Sarah should
haue giuen children sucke ? (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.944)

for I haue borne him a sonne in his old age .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.945)

8 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.946)

And the child grew , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.947)

and was weaned : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.948)

and Abraham made a great feast , the same day that Isaac
was weaned . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.949)

9 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.950)

And Sarah saw the sonne of Hagar the Egyptian , which shee had borne
vnto Abraham , mocking . Wherfore she said vnto Abraham , Cast out this
bond woman , and her sonne : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.951)

for the sonne of this bond woman shall not be heire with my sonne ,
euen with Isaac . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.952)

11 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.953)

And the thing was very grieuous in Abrahams sight , because of his
sonne . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.954)

12 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.955)

And God said vnto Abraham , Let it not be grieuous in thy sight ,
because of the lad , and because of thy bond woman .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.956)

In all that Sarah hath said vnto thee , hearken vnto her voice :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.957)

for in Isaac shall thy seed be called . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.958)

13 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.959)

And also , of the sonne of the bond woman will I make a nation ,
because he is thy seed . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.960)

14 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.961)

And Abraham rose vp earely in the morning , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.962)

and tooke bread , and a bottle of water , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.963)

and gaue it vnto Hagar , <paren> putting it on her shoulder , </paren>
and the child , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.964)

and sent her away (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.965)

and shee departed , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.966)

and wandered in the wildernesse of Beer-sheba .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.967)

15 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.968)

And the water was spent in the bottle , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.969)

and shee cast the child vnder one of the shrubs .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.970)

16 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.971)

And she went , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.972)

and sate her downe ouer against him , a good way off , as it were a bow
shoot : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.973)

for she said , Let me not see the death of the child .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.974)

And shee sate ouer against him ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.975)

and lift vp her voice , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.976)

and wept . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.977)

17 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.978)

And God heard the voice of the lad , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.979)

and the Angel of God called to Hagar out of heauen ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.980)

and said vnto her , What aileth thee , Hagar ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.981)

feare not : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.982)

for God hath heard the voice of the ladde , where he is .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.983)

18 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.984)

Arise , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.985)

lift vp the lad , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.986)

and hold him in thine hand : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.987)

for I will make him a great nation . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.988)

19 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.989)

And God opened her eyes , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.990)

and she saw a well of water , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.991)

and shee went , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.992)

and filled the bottle with water , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.993)

and gaue the lad drinke . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XXI,1G.994)

<P_XX1,20G>

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.996)

And God was with the lad , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.997)

and he grew , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.998)

and dwelt in the wildernesse , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.999)

and became an archer . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1000)

21 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1001)

And hee dwelt in the wildernesse of Paran :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1002)

and his mother tooke him a wife out of the land of Egypt .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1003)

22 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1004)

And it came to passe at that time , that Abimelech and Phichol the
chiefe captaine of his hoste spake vnto Abraham , saying , God
is with thee in all that thou doest .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1005)

23 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1006)

Now therefore sweare vnto mee here by God , that thou wilt not deale
falsly with me , nor with my sonne , nor with my sonnes sonne :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1007)

but according to the kindnesse that I haue done vnto
thee , thou shalt doe vnto me , and to the land wherein thou hast
soiourned . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1008)

24 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1009)

And Abraham saide , I will sweare . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1010)

25 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1011)

And Abraham reproued Abimelech , because of a well of water , which
Abimelechs seruants had violently taken away .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1012)

26 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1013)

And Abimelech saide , I wote not who hath done this thing :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1014)

neither didst thou tell me , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1015)

neither yet heard I of it , but to day . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1016)

27 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1017)

And Abraham tooke sheepe and oxen , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1018)

and gaue them vnto Abimelech : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1019)

and both of them made a couenant . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1020)

28 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1021)

And Abraham set seuen ewe lambes of the flocke by themselues
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1022)

29 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1023)

And Abimelech said vnto Abraham , What meane these seuen ewe lambes ,
which thou hast set by themselues ? (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1024)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1025)

And he said , For these seuen ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand ,
that they may be a witnesse vnto me , that I haue digged this well . 31
Wherefore he called that place , Beer-sheba : because there they sware
both of them . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1026)

32 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1027)

Thus they made a couenant at Beer-sheba : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1028)

then Abimelech rose vp , and Phichol the chiefe captaine of his hoste ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1029)

and they returned into the land of the Philistines .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1030)

33 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1031)

And Abraham planted a groue in Beer-sheba ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1032)

and called there on the Name of the Lord , the euerlasting God .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1033)

34 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX1,20G.1034)

And Abraham soiourned in the Philistines land , many dayes .

an offering made by fire of a sweet sauour vnto the Lord .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1053)

11 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1054)

Thus shall it be done for one bullocke , or for one ramme , or for a
lambe , or a kidde . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1055)

12 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1056)

According to the number that yee shall prepare , so shall yee doe to
euery one , according to their number . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1057)

13 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1058)

14 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1060)

And if a stranger soiourne with you , or whosoeuer bee among you in
your generations , and will offer an offering made by fire of a sweete

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1061)

15 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1062)

One ordinance shall be both for you of the Congregation , and also for
the stranger that soiourneth with you , an ordinance for
euer in your generations : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1063)

as ye are , so shall the stranger bee , before the Lord .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1064)

16 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1065)

One law , and one maner shall be for you , and for the stranger that
soiourneth with you . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1066)

17 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1067)

And the Lord spake vnto Moses , saying , 18 Speake vnto the children of
Israel , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,1N.1068)

and say vnto them , When ye come into the land whither I bring you , 19
Then it shall be that when ye eate of the bread of the land , yee shall

<P_XV,20N>

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1071)

Ye shall offer vp a cake of the first of your dough , for an heaue
offring : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1072)

as ye doe the heaue offering of the threshing floore so shall ye heaue

21 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1074)

Of the first of your dough ye shal giue vnto the Lord , an heaue

22 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1076)

And if yee haue erred , and not observed all these Commaundements which
the Lord hath spoken vnto Moses , 23 Euen all that the

according to the manner , and one kid of the goats for a sinne offering
. (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1077)

25 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1078)

And the Priest shall make an atonement for all the Congregation of the
children of Israel , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1079)

and it shal be forgiuen them , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1080)

for it is ignorance : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1081)

and they shall bring their offring , a sacrifice made by fire vnto the
Lord , and their sinne offering before the Lord , for their ignorance .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1082)

26 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1083)

& it $shall $be {TEXT:shalbe} forgiuen him .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1089)

29 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1090)

You shall haue one law for him that sinneth through ignorance ,
both for him that is borne amongst the children of Israel , and
for the stranger that soiourneth among them .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1091)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1092)

But the Soule that doeth ought presumptuously , whether he be borne in
the land , or a stranger , the same reprocheth the Lord :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1093)

and that soule shall be cut off from among his people .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1094)

31 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1095)

Because he hath despised the word of the Lord , and hath broken his
commandement , that Soule shall vtterly be cut off :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1096)

his iniquitie shall be vpon him . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1097)

32 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1098)

And while the children of Israel were in the wildernes , they found a
man that gathered stickes vpon the Sabbath day .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1099)

33 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1100)

And they that found him gathering sticks , brought him vnto Moses and
Aaron , and vnto all the Congregation . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1101)

34 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1102)

And they put him in ward , because it was not declared what should be
done to him . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1103)

35 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1104)

And the Lord said vnto Moses , The man shall bee surely put to death :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1105)

all the Congregation shall stone him with stones without the campe .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1106)

36 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1107)

And all the Co~gregation brought him without the campe ,

and he died , as the Lord commanded Moses . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1110)

37 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1111)

And the Lord spake vnto Moses , saying , 38 Speake vnto the children of
Israel , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1112)

and bidde them that they make them fringes in the borders of their

fringe of the borders a ribband of blew , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1113)

39 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,20N.1114)

And it shall bee vnto you for a fringe , that ye may looke vpon it ,
and remember all the commandements of the Lord , and doe them : and
that ye seeke not after your owne heart , and your owne eyes , after
which ye vse to goe a whoring : <P_XV,40N> That ye may remember , and
doe all my commandements , and be holy vnto your God .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,40N.1115)

41 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,40N.1116)

I am the Lord your God , which brought you out of the
land of Egypt , to bee your God : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,40N.1117)

I am the Lord your God . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XV,40N.1118)

and thou and thy sonnes with thee , shall beare the iniquitie of your
Priesthood . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1126)

2 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1127)

And thy brethren also of the tribe of Leui , the tribe of thy father ,
bring thou with thee , that they may be ioyned vnto thee , and minister

but thou and thy sonnes with thee shall minister before
the Tabernacle of Witnesse . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1129)

3 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1130)

And they shall keepe thy charge , and the charge of all the Tabernacle

onely they shall not come nigh the vessels of the Sanctuarie , and the
Altar , that neither they , nor you also die .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1132)

4 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1133)

And they shall bee ioyned vnto thee , and keepe the charge of the
Tabernacle of the Congregation , for all the seruice of the Tabernacle
: (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1134)

and a stranger shall not come nigh vnto you .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1135)

5 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1136)

And yee shall keepe the charge of the Sanctuary , and the charge of the
Altar , that there be no wrath any more vpon the children of Israel .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1137)

6 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1138)

And I , beholde , I haue taken your brethren the Leuites from among the
children of Israel : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1139)

to you they are giuen as a gift for the Lord , to doe the seruice of
the Tabernacle of the Congregation . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1140)

7 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1141)

Therefore thou and thy sonnes with thee , shall keepe your Priests

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1142)

and yee shall serve : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1143)

I haue giuen your Priests office vnto you , as a seruice of gift :

and the stranger that commeth nigh , shall bee put to death .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1145)

vnto thee haue I giuen them by reason of the anointing , and to thy

9 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1149)

This shall bee thine of the most holy things , reserued

euery oblation of theirs , euery meat offering of theirs , and euery

which they shal render vnto me , shall be most holy for thee , and for

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1152)

In the most holy place shalt thou eate it ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1153)

euery male shall eate it : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1154)

it shall be holy vnto thee . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1155)

11 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1156)

And this is thine : the heaue offering of their gift , with all the

All the best of the oyle , and all the best of the wine , and of the
wheat , the first fruits of them which they shall offer vnto the Lord ,
them haue I giuen thee . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1161)

13 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1162)

And whatsoeuer is first ripe in the land , which they shall bring vnto
the Lord , shall be thine , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1163)

euery one that is cleane in thine house , shall eat of it .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1164)

14 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1165)

Euery thing deuoted in Israel , shall be thine .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1166)

15 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1167)

Every thing that openeth the matrice in all flesh , which they bring

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1168)

Neuertheles the first borne of man shalt thou surely redeeme ,

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1172)

17 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1173)

But the firstling of a cowe , or the firstling of a sheepe , or the
firstling of a goat thou shall not redeeme ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1174)

they are holy : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1175)

thou shalt sprinckle their blood upon the Altar ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1176)

and shalt burne their fat for an offering made by fire , for a sweet
sauour vnto the Lord . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1177)

18 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1178)

And the flesh of them shall bee thine : as the waue breast , and as the

19 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1180)

All the heaue offerings of the holy things , which the children of
Israel offer vnto the Lord , haue I giuen thee and thy sonnes , and thy
daughters with thee , by a statute for euer :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1181)

it is a couenant of salt for euer , before the Lord vnto thee , and to
thy seed with thee . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,1N.1182)

<P_XVIII,20N>

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1184)

And the Lord spake vnto Aaron , Thou shalt haue no inheritance in their
land , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1185)

neither shalt thou haue any part among them :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1186)

I am thy part , and thine inheritance among the children of Israel .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1187)

21 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1188)

And behold , I haue giuen the children of Leui all the tenth in Israel
, for an inheritance , for their service which they serue euen the
seruice of the Tabernacle of the Congregation .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1189)

22 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1190)

Neither must the children of Israel hencefoorth come nigh the
Tabernacle of the Congregation , lest they beare sinne , and die .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1191)

23 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1192)

But the Leuites shall doe the seruice of the Tabernacle of the
Congregation , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1193)

and they shal beare their iniquitie : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1194)

it shall be a statute foreuer throughout your generations , that among
the children of Israel they haue no inheritance .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1195)

24 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1196)

But the tithes of the children of Israel which they offer as an heaue
offering vnto the Lord , I haue giuen to the Leuites to inherite :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1197)

therefore I haue said vnto them , Among the children of Israel they
shall haue no inheritance . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1198)

25 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1199)

And the Lord spake vnto Moses saying , 26 Thus speake vnto the Leuites
, (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1200)

and say vnto them , When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes ,
which I haue giuen you from them for your inheritance , then ye shal
offer vp an heaue offering of it for the Lord , euen a tenth part of
the tithe . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1201)

27 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1202)

And this your heaue offering shall be reckoned vnto you , as though it
were the corne of the threshing floore , and as the
fulnesse of the wine presse . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1203)

28 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1204)

Thus you also shal offer an heaue offering vnto the Lord of all your
tithes which ye receiue of the children of Israel ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1205)

and ye shall giue thereof the Lords heaue offering to Aaron the Priest
. (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1206)

29 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1207)

Out of all your gifts ye shal offer euery heaue offering of the Lord of
all the best thereof , euen the hallowed part thereof
out of it . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1208)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1209)

Therefore thou shalt say vnto them , When yee haue heaued the best
thereof from it , then it shall be counted vnto the Leuites , as the
encrease of the threshing floor , and as the encrease of the wine
presse . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1210)

31 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1211)

And ye shall eate it in euery place , ye and your housholde :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1212)

for it is your reward for your service , in the

32 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1214)

And yee shall beare no sinne by reason of it when ye haue heaued from
it the best of it : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XVIII,20N.1215)

neither shall ye pollute the holy things of the children of Israel ,

{COM:introduction_omitted}

1 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1292)

Then came the children of Israel , euen the whole
Congregation , into the desert of Zin , in the first moneth :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1293)

and the people abode in Kadesh , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1294)

and Miriam died there , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1295)

and was buried there . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1296)

2 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1297)

And there was no water for the Congregation :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1298)

and they gathered themselues together against Moses and against Aaron .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1299)

3 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1300)

And the people chode with Moses , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1301)

and spake , saying , Would God that we had died when our brethren died
before the Lord . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1302)

4 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1303)

And why haue yee brought vp the Congregation of the Lord into this
wildernesse , that we and our cattell should die there ?
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1304)

5 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1305)

And wherefore haue ye made vs to come vp out of Egypt , to bring vs in
vnto this euil place ? (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1306)

it is no place of seed , or of figges , or vines , or of
pomegranates , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1307)

neither is there any water to drinke . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1308)

6 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1309)

And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly , vnto the
doore of the Tabernacle of the congregation ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1310)

and they fell upon their faces : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1311)

and the glory of the Lord appeared vnto them .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1312)

7 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1313)

And the Lord spake vnto Moses , saying , 8 Take the rodde ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1314)

and gather then the assembly together , thou and Aaron thy brother ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1315)

and speake yee vnto the rocke before their eyes ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1316)

and it shall giue foorth his water , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1317)

and thou shalt bring foorth to them , water out of the rocke :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1318)

so thou shalt giue the Congregation , and their beasts drinke .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1319)

9 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1320)

And Moses tooke the rod from before the Lord , as he commanded him .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1321)

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1322)

And Moses and Aaron gathered the Congregation together before the rocke
, (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1323)

and hee said vnto them , Heare now , ye rebels ;
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1324)

must we fetch you water out of this rocke ? (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1325)

11 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1326)

And Moses lift vp his hand , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1327)

and with his rod he smote the rocke twice (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1328)

and the water came out abundantly , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1329)

and the Congregation dranke , and their beasts also .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1330)

12 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1331)

And the Lord spake vnto Moses and Aaron , Because ye beleeue me not ,
to sanctifie me in the eyes of the children of Israel , therefore ye
shall not bring this Congregation into the land which I haue giuen them
. (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1332)

13 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1333)

This is the water of Meribah , because the children of Israel stroue
with the Lord ; (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1334)

and he was sanctified in them . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1335)

14 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1336)

And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh , vnto the King of Edom ;
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1337)

Thus saith thy brother Israel , Thou knowest all the trauaile that hath
befallen vs : 15 How our fathers went downe into Egypt , and we haue
dwelt in Egypt a long time : and the Egyptians vexed vs , and our
fathers . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1338)

16 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1339)

And when wee cryed vnto the Lord , he heard our voyce ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1340)

and sent an Angel , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1341)

and hath brought vs foorth out of Egypt : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1342)

and behold , wee are in Kadesh , a citie in the vttermost of thy border
. (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1343)

17 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1344)

Let vs passe , I pray thee , thorow thy countrey :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1345)

we will not passe thorow the fields , or thorow the Vineyards ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1346)

neither will we drinke of the water of the wells :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1347)

wee will goe by the Kings high-way , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1348)

we wil not turne to the right hand nor to the left , vntill wee haue
passed thy borders . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1349)

18 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1350)

And Edom said vnto him , Thou shalt not passe by me , lest I come out
against thee with the sword . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1351)

19 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1352)

And the children of Israel said vnto him , We will goe by the high-way
: (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1353)

and if I and my cattell drinke of thy water , then I will pay for it :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1354)

I will onely <paren> without doing any thing else
</paren> go thorow on my feet . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,1N.1355)

<P_XX,20N>

(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1357)

And he said , Thou shalt not goe thorow . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1358)

And Edom came out against him with much people , and with a strong hand
. (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1359)

21 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1360)

Thus Edom refused to giue Israel passage thorow his border : wherefore
Israel turned away from him . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1361)

22 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1362)

And the children of Israel , euen the whole Congregation , iourneyed
from Kadesh , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1363)

and came vnto mount Hor . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1364)

23 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1365)

And the Lord spake vnto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor , by the coast of
the land of Edom , saying ; 24 Aaron shall bee gathered vnto his
people : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1366)

for hee shall not enter into the land which I haue giuen vnto the
children of Israel , because yee rebelled against my word at the water
of Meribah . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1367)

25 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1368)

Take Aaron , and Eleazar his sonne , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1369)

and bring them vp vnto mount Hor . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1370)

26 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1371)

And strippe Aaron of his garments , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1372)

and put them upon Eleazar his sonne , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1373)

and Aaron shall be gathered vnto his people ,
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1374)

and shall die there . (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1375)

27 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1376)

And Moses did as the Lord commaunded : (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1377)

and they went vp into mount Hor , in the sight of all the Congregation
. (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1378)

28 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1379)

And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1380)

and put them upon Eleazar his sonne , (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1381)

and Aaron died there in the top of the mount :
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1382)

and Moses and Eleazar came downe from the mount .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1383)

29 (AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1384)

And when all the Congregation saw that Aaron was dead , they mourned
for Aaron thirty dayes , euen all the house of Israel .
(AUTHOLD-E2-P1,XX,20N.1385)
