The ECI/MCI has been developed and tested on UN*X systems.  We have
done what we can to ensure usability on other platforms which can
access ISO 9660 data-format CD-ROMs, but a number of infelicities must
be acknowledged:

1) None of the software distributed for Macintosh or MS-DOS has been
tested;

2) A number of basic functionalities are only supported via UN*X
scripts:  we welcome any contributions of parallel tools for Macintosh
or MS-DOS.

3) The full advertised directory and file structure (see
doc/mulstrct.txt and doc/dirstrct.txt) is NOT in place under vanilla
9660, because the soft links which implement it use the RockRidge
extensions to 9660, which are for the time being ignored by MS-DOS and
Macintosh.  The consequences is that the top-level directories which
should (and under RockRidge do) give access to the monolingual
components of the multilingual corpora do not achieve this.
