<[>coughs yeah i'd like to do away with the voc the athletics <.>spor <,> because i've prepared them to sit i mean that's what <{><[>they're working on at the moment <[>yes mm and <.>i that'd be rushing to prepare them for the the WATCHING test although all you need to do is give them the outline of what they have to do isn't it yeah i'd quite like to have done some exercises <&>plane flies overhead through next section first word well yeah the only thing worrying me though i thought at first i thought two assessments in one week is a bit much yeah but watching they can do at home and they've had oh mine have been i gave them a whole lot of preparation for their formal letter test but they don't have to um really swot for it just really sit it <,> and i'd really like to get the something about theme you know if if it comes out of you it seems to be much more successful <{><[>word but if it doesn't it's a failure but but you know it could be like the sixth form where you word we could say we'll all going to do a theme at the moment <[>mm mm but what we need to do is decide what our assessments are and that's in general like we do with the er <,> sixth form <,> and then leave it up to us cos <{1><[1>personally i've i've felt much more comfortable NOW doing the the er say music theme it's not that <{2><[2>the rebel is a bad unit it's just not my unit <&>12:00 <[1>mm <[2>mm what i really do like about it though is is having the viewing test and being able to build up to that and being able to show them the film and discuss film technique and tell them they're having a test and they're responding well to that and they really listened when we talked about the terms and i think they feel sort of secure that they've got a structure for their first unit they feel i think they feel that i'm sort of taking them somewhere mm even though i don't really like the theme i <.>don i don't think we have enough material that suited me in it but that's what i mean <{1><[1>we could still do that if if <{2><[2>that word when we've done the er film technique <{3><[3>with the sixth form <[1>mm <[2>yes <[3>mm we could couldn't we couldn't we it's just that <{><[>we have to <[>change the theme yeah we'd just have <{1><[1>choose the theme <{2><[2>that we <{3><[3>word <[1>yes <[2>follow <[3>do our OWN theme and do a viewing test as you say decide on the assessments well winners and losers is like that word yeah it's got a lot of swear words in it like er so has this one <,> word you mean the the one about the mushroom farm yes yeah well directed too i think kingi's story is rawer and more emotional is it and it's not funny it's um well it is mm you know there's a lot of good technique do you think it's better at fifth form level yeah i do um i would feel happier showing it to an older age group <{><[>mm <[>i'd sooner have to show it to a fifth form yeah i agree or even the sixth form because it's got a good montage <{><[>shot in it <[>yes yes <,> yeah and the themes are very <,,> um useful aren't they <&>14:00 yes it is pretty good when you put it together with er one of the boys that poem <,> <{><[>about the kid who <,> rebelled oh well lets put it in then <[>mm yeah mm so in in that case we need another viewing test don't we oh <.>m julia hasn't refused to give it have you i mean you're just expressing an opinion <{><[>word refuse to give it <[>yeah i am expressing no i don't sort of vehemently refuse but i <.>f i feel uncomfortable showing it if we <{><[>give it this year then we can't give it to next year's fifth form then can we
