rebecca my niece every friday because jane's <&>7:00 doing a course at polytech <,> and rebecca's got this book and it's a bit weird really the old horse in the book <,> it's this book where you <.>ope as you turn over each page you open up a flap and there's a animal sitting behind it and they're looking for a <,> <{1><[1>a hen and a <,> hen <{2><[2>and eggs aren't they <,> and it's called oh dear or something and it's got all these like you open up a flap and it's a <{3><[3><,> a sheep <[1>oh right <[2>yeah <[3>oh dear it's a horse yeah yeah and all this and <{><[>all this sort of crap thought you know by the end of it a bit weird actually others laugh <[>yeah i'm quite perturbed by this giving this you know one year old book and it's got you know i couldn't believe how big she's got <{><[><,> cos i only saw her a few months ago and she looks like a little child now not a baby <[>she's got yeah <,> she's real er and her ears are in proportion laughs oh good you should've told jane oh so when are you gonna get rebecca's ears ear fixed she went there's nothing wrong with her blah blah blah others laugh she's perfect yeah perfect there's nothing wrong with the child blah blah blah mm but yeah her ears have actually <,> so she might be lucky kids are really <{><[>cruel though eh <[>because kids are cruel i mean <{1><[1>kids ARE really cruel and roz that's the reason roz had such <.>ha had such a thing about HER ear was <{2><[2>because she'd had such a hard <{3><[3>time <[1>yeah they are <[2>yeah <[3>a hard time <{><[>right mum used to tell me when i was a child that if i was born a generation ago they would've put a big band around my head you know to keep them there <[>yeah but your ears aren't that bad <&>9:00 no no you've got quite a big head <{><[>so it sort of balances it <[>i've got quite a big head so it compensates a bit <,> but i mean they used to be proportionately bigger and they used to stick out yeah mm yeah i mean i was really really paranoid about my freckles cos when i was about seven a friend told me i had too many others laugh <{><[>yeah kids <.>are <[>and she actually had more than me anyway yeah kids are terrible aren't they yeah mm i mean something out of alien <[>my bottom ones my <.>bot others laugh thanks <,> it's just my bottom ones mm yeah word yeah others laugh word yeah word <{><[>word <[>i had well they used to stick out <,> like <,> <{><[>major <[>yeah <,> but yeah i <{><[>i i don't want to make you feel paranoid but they look as if they've been pushed back others laugh <&>10:00 <[>MAJOR i know <{1><[1>they look as though <.>they've i mean <{2><[2>they look as though they've been played with <[1>yeah <,> yeah <[2>word mm yeah and they are fairly perfect yeah i mean <.>they <{1><[1>i mean i'm not being <{2><[2>you know i mean mum and dad spent three grand on these teeth <{3><[3>you know <,,> but yeah the only thing is these <,> two here have um are not straight <[1>right <[2>yeah they are <[3>yeah oh <{><[>yeah <[>i reckon word grinds down a bit oh well that's <.>part that's <{><[>why they <[>i reckon it's only the top ones that really matter <{1><[1>because <{2><[2>you don't see the bottom ones <[1>mm it is <[2>yeah yeah my father's got really pointed top ones like they meet in a <,> <{><[>point word <[>my <.>whole yeah right my whole face shape changed mine <.>was <{><[>with my mouth shut <[>yeah yeah yuk pain my cousin's wife um <,,> has just spent thousands and thousands i don't know how much but it's something in the order of ten thousand dollars mm on having her <,> teeth straightened up <{><[>she had <.>aMAZing <[>but her whole jaw was receding <,> eh it was <{><[>still moving back <[>her jaw was carry on back mm <{1><[1>she couldn't eat properly any more <{2><[2>eh <[1>and er <[2>she got to the <.>stage yeah she couldn't eat properly mm major but <{1><[1>it was a <.>co it was basically a cosmetic thing though <{2><[2><,> i mean there wasn't <.>any <&>11:00 <[1>yeah <[2>yeah <{><[>well it was partly cos she couldn't eat <[>was it quite <{1><[1>but that's what but that's what orthodontics is i mean <{2><[2>you know that's why mum and <{3><[3>dad got all of us kids fixed up yeah <{4><[4><,> well they did you know fixed up and then yeah it's a vanity thing <{5><[5>you know yeah <,> and yeah <.>i've <.>don't i mean great i mean i would've hated <[1>laughs i think she's word <[2>yeah <,> yeah <[3>that's right <[4>yeah <[5>yeah <{><[>mm <[>yeah to have been now buck teeth and cos they were really <.>horri i mean my mouth was really crowded on these four molars <{><[>are they <[>voc yeah cos i had to get them pulled out <,> when i was i only had to have a couple one each side <{1><[1>at the top <{2><[2><,> mm i still have gaps left <[1>yeah <[2>down here word oh lisa you know my sister mm she's got all false teeth <,> ALL her teeth she got them all pulled out <{1><[1>she used to have problems with her teeth <{2><[2>a couple of years ago <[1>when she <[2><.>when when was that <,> was that after she had the kids <{><[>or before <,> it was after <[>yeah i think so cos people used to do that a lot eh cos <{><[>it was easier just to rip them all out <[>well jane's <.>teeth she's having real trouble with her teeth since she's had rebecca mm <&>12:00 she's getting um what is it just very sensitive calcium deficient <{><[>or something <[>yeah she's having major problems she's going to the dentist virtually every three months or something god and i mean she's had a orthodontist and all sorts of things like that word <{><[>word on the weekend laughs <[>well viv had <,> what a bone replaced in her jaw yeah so she's actually got false teeth mm oh <,,> yeah <,> anyway this <,> woman vivian she had a <,,> i think they must must've cut her jaw and put bone in so they can bring the <{><[>jaw out <[>mm <,,><&>3 yeah as well as sort of there's a there's about twelve month lead up period where they sort of just fixed up around the general area <{1><[1>to stop the gums from <{2><[2>bleeding and clean them properly clears throat <{3><[3>mm and she she <.>h her whole face has changed totally she looks like <[1>mm <[2>major yeah <[3>yeah <[3><.>i yeah you <.>couldn't voc you can't help but look twice <{><[>i've only seen her once since but i knew her quite well voc beforehand <&>13:00 <[>yeah yeah it's scary it's like um yeah braces i mean i saw the <.>mo you know the moulds and the the xrays and everything and yeah they were pretty bad <,,> but when i when he when i first went to the orthodontist and he took the mould my front teeth were actually like <,> virtually a forty five degree angle <[>casts mm yeah mm you know mm and then when he's that was pretty voc shattering and then after i'd actually two years later after i'd had them all fixed up and everything he took voc other moulds and to actually compare them it was just <{><[><,> unbelievable i mean it was what he'd actually done was truly amazing <[>unbelievable <,> yeah <,> yeah mm you know because <,> er yeah i mean a lot of pain involved but yeah <{><[>worth every penny <[>mm mm i think mm definitely from my point of view it was mm <&>14:00 <{><[>cos you didn't pay for it <[>word <[>word it was yeah i'm worried now that if my teeth start falling out mum and dad are gonna KILL me you know sniffs mm and that's why i've got such a big thing about you know going to the dentist and all this sort of shit and i really look after them because i'm just not gonna go through PAIN again yeah having them tightened up every month <.>and mm i mean it was really bad <{><[>i was word um i had braces word when i was fourteen <,> and i got them off when i <.>was <[>how old were you it's probably just got all your feet tapping <&>D and C are talking <{><[>mhm <[>mhm can't word about how long i had them on for cos i used to have to go back every month and <{><[>he had to <[>and they'd wind them up a bit more yeah <{><[>mm <[>wind them up <{><[>change change the rubbers <,> sizes and i kept on breaking off <,> breaking off the um <[>mm oh yeah breaking <.>th the loops or what ever they were called <&>14:56
