they would have safety <{3><[3>pins <{4><[4>yeah this was like when <{5><[5>they wore white shoes and red <.>ca no <{6><[6>because the biggest DANGER with epileptic fits is <{7><[7>people swallowing their tongues because they're <.>very it's a very tricky operation to dig in and bring it back up it's just REALLY <{8><[8>HARD to do and if you swallow your tongue it goes all the way down to about here it's <.>a you know it REALLY does some serious damage <.>and <[1>oh my god <[2>pin it with WHAT <[3>large safety pins <[4>oh NO <[5>gross <[6>laughs <[7>swallowing your tongue <[8>yeah but bloody way so that people <{2><[2>don't hurt themselves but the big worry is their tongues what they're going to do with their tongues <[1>clears throat <[2>mm i <.>kne knew this guy daniel when i worked in the bank clears throat and he was an epileptic and then you know everyone knew and he'd never had a fit for like two and a half years and he was really excited because if you haven't had one for three years you can sit your driver's licence <{><[>mm mm <[>yeah and um <,> it was like nine oclock and the bank had JUST opened and i was sitting next to daniel and <.>s i can't remember what he said and he just loosened his tie pushed himself off the chair and on to the floor and just <.>m had this massive massive fit mm and i'd never seen one before <{><[>and um <[>tut it's quite disturbing <{><[>word <[>oh yeah but he <.>was he was really upset and embarrassed yeah that's <{><[><.>because <[>horrible i <.>think i think they sort of whisked people out of the bank and shut the door again <{1><[1>but afterwards he was just in tears and a real mess and <{2><[2>we had to take him home <[1>but it's horrible <.>because <[2>but it's <&>9:00 horrible because it's so uncontrollable <{><[>and it's not like they have a fit on purpose you know laughs <[>and it's <.>very yes yeah he was really <.>up <,> set well it's really <{><[>word <[>it was really scary though you can understand how people think that someone is <{1><[1><,> possessed yeah cos <.>i oh <.>i it's amazing the amount of energy that <.>this <{2><[2>he was <.>just <[1>possessed <[1>possessed yeah <[2>mm mm <.>for for <.>w however long it was like it was two or three minutes yeah sometimes people <{1><[1>can <.>just sometimes people can FIT for <{2><[2>like five minutes and that's really dangerous because they're just using so much <{3><[3>you know <[1>that's long eh <[2>yeah <[3>mm it's electrical energy <{><[>really scary it is <[>mm so <.>yeah <.>what's what's really interesting is in <{1><[1>um when i've been in other places like <,> europe <[1>oh recovery position laughs all that custard laughs yes when i've been in europe and been around people who have had an epileptic <.>feet fit like i saw somebody having a fit in the street it <.>just you know they'd had a fit in the <{1><[1>street <.>and and people were <.>looking like people were like either running AWAY or just you know <.>make making a really wide berth of <{2><[2>this person except maybe for his um i don't know a <.>h um this man or woman's relatives or friends or whatever <[1>mm <[2>aha <&>10:00 mm <{><[>word <[>but everyone else was just staying right away <{1><[1>and yet in new zealand you know i <.>was i was at school with two or three people who <.>were <{2><[2>who were epileptic and um it just seems a lot more common and just nothing to worry about <[1>yeah <[2>mm yeah yeah there was a girl at primary school who used to have one quite often and she <.>just she was a bit weird though because she'd just go <.>get someone hold me and just you know sort of get her in a bear hug and she <.>would and she'd just sort of go like <{1><[1>that and then actually i'm not too sure if it <{2><[2>was an epileptic <[1>yeah <[2>i don't know what the <.>ratio what the statistics <.>are i mean I <.>know of the people that i know who are in my sort <.>of not immediate but you know in my social circle i know three people with epilepsy <{1><[1>which <{2><[2>is <{3><[3>which is quite high isn't it really <{4><[4>i suppose <[1>yeah <[2>mm <[3>i know one <[4>mm yeah i know two <{><[>people <[>not as many as with asthma or anything but <{><[>you know sniffs still quite high <,,><&>3 tut yes <[>no but it's interesting that there's different kinds of fits <&>11:00 yeah people <.>can some people grow out of it <{1><[1>too some people you know who fit as children don't <{2><[2>at all <[1>mm yeah <[2>it's a sort of teenage thing isn't it yeah some people don't get it until they're like eighteen <{><[>nineteen <[>tut yeah like spontaneous <,,> combustion spontaneous combustion is <{1><[1>when you word <{2><[2>laughs BURN laughs <[1>laughs <[2>yeah i know but then they're <.>like a huge amount of energy yeah <.>that that happens a lot more when you're a teenager <{1><[1>it's really bizarre EXternal <{2><[2>combustion <[1>does it that's really bizarre i remember reading about it when i was a kid and thinking how bizarre <[2>yeah yeah and like <.>semi well possibly what <.>ever semi energy you know when <.>some <,> i've read a bit about it like sometimes people will be in a room and parts of the room will just get on fire <,> <{><[>you know <[>word seriously? <{><[>yeah <[>it never happened to me and <.>the <{><[>what the whole room come on fire <[>laughs no ME spontaneously combusting no no
