lot better eh <[1>laughs <[2>i know that's so bad <,> first date like we only saw each other like once a week and that was only on a saturday mm courtship day mm <&>1:00 and who are you talking about we were <,> voc bevan ross that was the first first real date that i ever had yeah and like we we went to um the movies on a saturday <{1><[1>and then like after straight after the movies you know like we usually take the bus home <{2><[2>straight after that we just <{3><[3>went to the bus <{4><[4>station <[1>mm <[2>mm <[3>really <[4>so you guys don't do <{><[>anything <[>yeah we didn't do anything hardly <{><[>i mean all we did some kissing and all that but touching and that was it you know <[>mm mm and i thought wow and then MY first date it was just like yeah i just went home and that was it <{1><[1>you know word and go home you might hang around town and try and be cool or <{2><[2>something <[1>yeah like like yeah <[2>no we didn't do that we just like walked down to the railway station and caught the bus he caught the train and and that <{><[>was it <[>that was it and then he never turned up for basketball the next day he never does when i see him he's really weird laughs <,> it took me so long to get over it eh like with your first date and you never you know you never think oh it's gonna hurt you <&>2:00 yeah that's true and <{><[><.>i it hurt me so bad <[>like it's like it's like it's worse because he didn't give you a try or chance basically he didn't really give you a chance yeah to really get to know him and then you're thinking what did i do wrong what did i do WRONG what really happened was i was supposed to meet him at work at a certain time and does he work yeah he was working <{><[>only at <[>how old was he only in weekends oh yep yep tut and um i was sort of like supposed to meet him at at at his work <{1><[1>at a certain time <{2><[2>but but caroline was driving me and she was late <{3><[3>you know leaving and so we got there and he wasn't there <{4><[4>so he walked home <,> and <{5><[5>then i called him from from caroline's um tut <[1>mm <[2>mm <[3>yeah <[4>mm <[5>mm do you know what caroline's friend's place i mean i remember this guy that i mean it sounds familiar because but my situation was i didn't like him <{1><[1>because he was so much of a <.>sno i met him <{2><[2>at i met him at um i met him at a ball an easter ball one of those <&>3:00 chinese tournament <{3><[3>balls and i met him there do you know him his name's travis <[1>you didn't like him <[2>snob <[3>yes travis who wong wong travis wong no <{><[>he's got a sister called nancy <[>no nancy <.>n no no okay well anyway um i went out with him cos we he looked SO gorgeous at the ball he was looked <.>s really nice he had a red cummerbund a <{1><[1>red bowtie and everything <{2><[2>he looked so really nice real nice and um and so then we got to know each other <,> we didn't actually really get to know each other not really that well until the next day we decided that tut i gave him a call and he and we decided to go out and we just hung around town and things like that but <,> i mean that was the only day i went out with him he was really cute and everything <{3><[3>and my friend was um my friend really liked him <{4><[4>and voc <[1>mm <[2>word laughs word <[3>but you didn't like him <[4>yeah YOUR friend really liked <{><[>him so you sort of <[>but i no i found him really cute yeah but <{><[>you didn't like him <[>but the personality was just i just didn't like him he he was real <.>s he <.>w i mean <&>4:00 like he'd pay for things and then <.>d you know i've got no objections or anything to that <{1><[1>but he was just a real <.>s a real snob REAL snob as in um my girlfriend came along because she didn't have anything to do and i <{2><[2>said do you mind and he said no no no you can yeah bring her along and um and then when um my girlfriend left she he said something like OH she's little girl she's like a little girl she's so young or something and i took that as an insult <{3><[3>because she was er she was sixteen and she said oh she looks like a twelve year old he goes your your friend all your friends look young and she and he started making generalisations and i didn't like that so i dumped him on the spot <{4><[4>laughs <[1>mhm <[2>yeah <[3>mhm <[4>laughs what did you say er OH i usually say stupid things like oh i really like you laughs but <{><[>laughs <[>but there's always a but to it when i say that i know i know <{><[>word word <[>i've learnt i read somewhere that instead of saying but that's so negative you say and and before you say saying before you <&>5:00 start saying a negative you you put and and it will change the whole thing won't be so negative anymore you can't say oh i really like you and i don't want to go <{><[>out with you it doesn't make sense <[>laughs it's funny <{><[>though <[>laughs it doesn't make sense if you so if you say it the right the other i really like you but <{1><[1>i word i don't like you that much laughs or but i don't want to go out with you any more or but um <{2><[2>i don't feel about you that and they all think <[1>i don't like you <[2>do you know what i would usually say i would say something like oh you're too good for me anyway and he'll say i know and it makes you feel better <{1><[1>because you don't want to rubbish them to a point that they feel shit you know <,> feels really bad and he's like huh <{2><[2>what have i said what have i done <[1>yeah <[2>oh yeah so mm <,,> nice carpet <,,> it's not bad at least it's not flowery or something like that all laugh like our one <{1><[1>our one's got our one's got flowers <{2><[2>horrible <[1>i couldn't imagine it <&>6:00 <[2>you should see our wallpaper you know the chinese um those all the chinese dolls and everything yeah we've got that in um <{1><[1>alvin's study room which is actually the the um the lounge we've got it there <,> it looks <{2><[2>disgusting <[1>yeah but yeah <[2>our lounge has got flowers too on the <{><[>walls <[>it's i mean when you do walls you should do something like like they've got here they've got a plain wall and then <{><[>designs nice nice um <[>nice yep carpet yeah carpet not not plain because it if it's plain and you have a plain wall it wouldn't suit yeah you <{><[>have to have some kind of design on it <[>i mean if you contrast <{><[>eh <[>yeah yeah like if you have flowers on the walls and you have flowers on the carpet you get probably get sick of flowers everywhere oh did you see you you saw andy's couch yeah <{><[>it was a nice couch yeah <[>did you like it it was black and it had little <{1><[1>flowers blue and pink flowers on it did you see his rug <{2><[2>word one that was nice eh <[1>mm <[2>yeah that was a nice rug i want something like that in my room i'm trying to probably really nice and warm <&>7:00 i i'm trying to look for something like that in my room cos my carpet's really worn out like oh you know how you've got this this this um <,> bit on top of the carpet <{><[>and then underneath there's a like a underneath it's like like um really hard <[>mm mm well i've got i'm up to that bit it's the hardest bit on the carpet yeah so all the top bit's worn out <,> so i want i just want a big big rug to cover it's got it's got water watermarks on my carpet as well for a child and um and sometimes me and my <&>9:00 brothers would save our money and we used to buy popsicles <{2><[2>instead of instead of um catching a bus to <{3><[3>school well on our walk back <{4><[4>home we'd buy a popsicle each <{5><[5>it was really cute <[1>yeah yeah yeah <[2>laughs <[3>yeah <[4>yeah <[5>aha yeah <&>9:11
