<.>the the flora of <.>the the river or whatever and they're really quite interesting little beasties anyway so <.>i <,> so you went fishing yeah i went fishing voc and <.>i i <.>s i had him on the end of my line you had a fish on no no the little pheasant tail <{><[>nymph <[>oh right okay yeah clears throat <.>and and i um and so i <{><[>walked up this little river and i <&>1:00 <.>walked and i walked and <.>i and i saw this fish and the little bastard was swimming down towards me <,,> so er so he saw me of course and then he um skedaddled off the side and he um sort of ran away from me pretty annoying <[>word right yeah so that was quite bad so um i kept walking up the stream and i THOUGHT i saw some fish but then they weren't fish they were like logs or something right laughs good spotting yeah it <.>was it was quite bad laughs so yeah but anyway um so i couldn't really um see any voc other fish so <.>i and then i got sort of about a k up the river and <.>i and then i started walking back right so did you see any more fish no i didn't you see as i was walking back i was trying to work out why i didn't see any fish well any other fish yeah <.>and and i couldn't work it out <&>2:00 so what do you reckon there was just no fish in that river well you see i don't know what i reckon um oh maybe they just don't <.>like there isn't enough food in it or something right word maybe it doesn't get warm enough for them to live in it or something like that well where is it er well it's near um well <.>you you drive up the hutt road from here <{><[><.>about laughs <[>laughs yeah okay about you know a little while <.>a near <.>r you know reasonably near upper hutt oh yeah but not quite in upper hutt no no not quite in upper hutt right mhm so you didn't catch any fish is the upshot no no but if i'd been to the wainui river then i might have caught some fish course i can't GO to the wainui river right now because it's closed right mm when does the wainui river open the wainui river opens um <,> in <,> <.>oct october so you'll be back then yeah right <&>3:00 i will on the open day i'll be there okay yeah i'll be just about off to germany by that stage what are you going to do in germany oh just something like travel round muck around hang out you know oh right er why are you going to germany WHY am i going to germany yeah well just for fun really i mean be an get paid all right and you could probably get a discount on all you stuff you buy no that's true yeah and it would be quite cool wouldn't it and also i mean just having a job's <.>pretty pretty awesome pretty awes mm yeah oh i could go to the <.>fishing i could go to the er sports shop and try that yeah do they know you in there <.>y yeah i haven't been in there for a while actually but you know they know me reasonably well or i could tie flies for them or something oh right <.>that that would be quite a good idea <.>if are you getting that much better <&>5:00 at tying flies that you could do it professionally well i'm pretty damn good at it but oh i don't know i don't know how many i could tie i could <.>pr you know i could do it but um i don't know how any i could tie you know really quickly i wouldn't be able to do it that quick i don't think right so <.>you what they pay about a couple of bucks a fly do they no no not that much they <.>w they cost about um a dollar twenty or something and <.>i new word in the shops and they make them there what do you reckon seventy cents oh probably not that <.>fifty probably thirty cents actually that's probably a bit poor but then again you know you tie a few but yeah i mean <.>y you'd have to tie um ten to get three dollars how long does it take you to tie ten flies oh it <.>wouldn't um maybe take me um tut how many ten? yeah bucks an hour yeah i'm not complaining about that so that's assuming they could sell them all and shit like that yeah but i know that there's one kind of fly that they don't have that people always want morons man they don't have any um dried caddis there right and people always <{><[>want them <[><.>ev everybody wants dried caddis i mean that's <.>like that's like wanting a mayfly and <.>a <.>or or a mayfly adult you know right you just have to have it right i don't know <.>why <.>i nobody supplies it to them right so <.>you do you get word once you get a chance well maybe yeah are they easy to tie yeah well basically what they are <.>they they can be really simple to tie if you want them to <.>th cos there's all sorts of different kinds tut but um basically not species or anything <&>7:00 it's all the same species but word er but <.>they <.>they <.>they can differ in um how people want to make them if <.>they see with all flies you can always embellish them with some legs and little <{1><[1>um wings and things which people do occasionally they think it maybe works or something maybe makes the trout bite better <.>but <{2><[2><.>but <[1>laughs yeah <[2>posier well laughs but um <.>y <.>y what they've basically are is you've got the hook <,> and then you <.>can if you <.>w er the simplest of them is you get some deer hair and <.>you well what a caddis looks like is it's sort of like a moth it's just got these big wings on the back that's the major thing about it right and so you just sort of tie in the deer hair so it's in a big sort of TRIANGLE on top of it you know what i mean it looks like voc these two wings i know yeah i know actually i've seen flies like that word yeah oh that sounds pretty cool but you <.>can you can put some hackles on them and like leaves and stuff and you can word they <.>get word on them but you know you can tie millions of those right but so you <.>can can do them pretty quick yeah <&>8:00 that'd be <.>pretty pretty awes word
