yeah well i <.>think i think their mother paid a hundred and seventy something for it <{><[>or a hundred and thirty or something <[>oh i see i <.>kno i think their government valuation was a bit HIGHER than ours yeah right er yeah i don't know but anyway <.>i so i don't know what they're going to do but um but barbara jenning's BROTHER and his wife have bought that section in fern way you know the first section? right near you? <&>10:00 yes and they paid ninety five for the SECTION oh god amazing isn't it mm but <.>all but anyway oh well at least people are still buying out there because i thought maybe that the fact that our beach is not that lovely anymore <{1><[1>might be might actually be putting people off <{2><[2>you know it's <.>not <[1>yes <[2>i wonder i don't know the pollution well it's a bit polluted and the sea <.>is it's not as attractive as it used to be <{1><[1>all around there is <{2><[2>it <[1>no <[2>no no it isn't it isn't nearly no mm well i i <.>don't i don't know but anyway they um there's a <.>l a tiny little shack <.>on that's where they're going to stay <.>this this summer then they'll think about doing something else on it i think they have plans for a house on it oh <{><[>good <[>whether they like it or not i don't know oh so um oh that's a bit sad we won't see you no well i would have <.>c i would have come out for a while but glen's not very keen to come out at all really <{1><[1>he doesn't seem <{2><[2>incredibly enthusiastic about coming out and so and he sort of wants to have <.>a he says he'd quite like to stay here for some of the holiday and then <[1>yes <[2>yes yes yes just relax go <.>s no go somewhere different so i had this idea that <&>11:00 we'll get over in the ferry but <.>i first we've got to get a booking on this blimmin ferry laughs to come back can <.>you can you chance it? with a car? well it's a bit risky isn't it if we all get over there and then we <.>get <.>have and the ferries go on strike and then we are stuck down there for there laughs they've sworn that they won't go on strike these holidays oh have they yeah i heard that on the <{><[>word <[>oh well that's something mm anyway <{><[>but <[>mm well i mean we can go on a waiting list i don't know i <.>suppose we have <.>th <.>i <.>i thought i'd just try and <.>find i <.>forgot when i voc did all this exploring i couldn't find out i FORGOT to ask how much it cost and i thought i should compare the cost of that with renting a car for a week cos it's not cheap to take your car over on the <{><[>ferry <[>no i see right so you <.>could <{><[>so we could get ourselves over and then rent a car <[>word yeah yeah that might be a good idea it might be though it would mean you'd have to <.>cart carry <{><[>all your stuff a bit <[>we <.>rented we rented a car for the entire time we were in australia so it was quite good oh so it was quite a longterm rental of course might be cheaper mightn't it yeah <{><[>it is <[>but <.>we we can get <.>di i can get discounts on rentals through work and things so i mean <.>it it's a possibility and it might mean if we can't get the ferry booking we can get our BODIES over <&>12:00 yes yes and um <,> and er then just rent <{1><[1>inhales i don't know exhales i feel too tired to think about any of it really i just feel i just feel as if i've hit the WALL you know <{2><[2>that <.>mar <{3><[3>what happens to marathon runners <[1>mm <[2>yes <[3>word yes yes you know i feel it seriously <{><[>today i just feel like getting under the covers <[>yes <{1><[1>okay well get under the covers <{2><[2>look after yourself we'll see you on the twentieth if we don't see you before <{3><[3>have you been flat out with the drew's dog <{4><[4>you try to be nice to it <[1><&>sighs <[2>laughs <[3>okay <[4>i have been mm i have been incredibly flat out with it mm yeah we're shipping out all weekend i <.>feel exhausted word when you're working hard you're sort <.>of you can't really do the other end as well <{><[>you know mm <[>no i know it's really hard mm shut up okay <{><[>we <[>and are things otherwise okay yeah <{><[>right <[>i can turn this machine off if you want to tell me laughs we'll turn it off now yes <&>two second break in taping <&>13:06 she wanted to put a garage on the boundary with a drive right along the boundary <{1><[1>and we had to sign permission for her to put the garage on the <{2><[2>boundary because it WAS on the boundary <{3><[3>and we signed permission conditional upon her not cutting down the trees <[1>yes <[2>yeah <[3>yeah yeah tut inhales and er exhales <{><[>and she put up the garage <[>and she did yes and then she cut down the trees so have you taken her to court well our lawyer's written to her but she's we're not getting <.>any anywhere with it and we don't want to spend buckets of money on the lawyer oh shit oh that's terrible isn't it <,> tut well i can't believe someone who would cut down a mature pohutukawa <{><[>can you and our privacy's gone <[>no no yes oh that would have really put me off oh <{><[>it's dreadful <[>it's awful for you so it's a shatchinese garage? that you look out on? well it's just <.>a <.>a no it's just <.>a the garage is ho hum but it's just simply that her house is pretty ugly and plain and we look straight out on to that from that big living room <{><[>that's we look OUT on it <[><.>where's where's has she built a house then she's built the house <&>14:00 oh so was <.>that that wasn't even there when we went no it's all <{><[>there now <[>oh so there's a HOUSE there <{><[>and a garage <[>there's a house and a garage and a drive it's all there NO trees right along the side that we live on i mean we LIVE on that part of the house <{><[>we live on <.>th in that room and on the deck <[>yes yes yes <{><[>it's a shame <[><.>and and ALL the privacy's gone gosh how awful no you must sell it so i mean it's probably lowered our property value too <.>that'd you know <{><[>that'd be another reason why it would be harder to sell it <[>how awful have the days sold theirs no <.>n noone went to their auction so they've MOVED they've got tenants in for a year <{><[>now they've put tenants in for a year and they've um moved this weekend actually to their new house <[>yes right <.>how <.>how <.>a <.>a a <.>the does that <.>c cover their expenses i don't know exactly but i think it helps mm good they've left a fortune get into the house well i think so yes i mean some people get away with it i heard of someone the other day who got away with it <.>who who only had two months to wait but i thought god <.>imagine i would NEVER earn that what so they bought another place and hoped they'd sell that yeah oh shit anyway okay well <.>look look after yourself and if you need anybody to talk to give me a ring thank you <&>15:10
