plymouth i guess so <{><[>yes <[>yeah yeah yeah how are YOUR family <,> oh um <,> okay <.>as as far as <,> i know i haven't heard from joy for a long time yeah right um the little ratbag laughs right laughs she's in christchurch is she no no she's in sydney oh okay laughs yeah right no i've had a couple of letters from her this year but she's um it's been a long time but she tells me she's got seventeen people on her <,> letter writing list but I think I should be on the TOP OF IT right well danielle usually RINGS you know from LONDON <.>we gosh <{><[>does she <[>letter writing's way down the bottom somewhere of the list of what happens in households these days and <.>she's <&>13:00 yeah oh we're all too parsimonious and joy's not really hurting that much cos she's paying off these HUGE great debts oh right and <.>she's she took <.>l <.>l BORROWED a LARGE amount of money right <{><[>oh <[>and <.>sh she's NEVER told me but it's like i think <,> it's for good reason i'd just hit the roof if i knew how much it was oh right <{><[>yeah <[>and you know it's like paying off a huge great mortgage or something yeah yeah yeah so i don't think she's actually got that much to spend and no no and i'm not prepared to fork out <{1><[1>every week sort of <{2><[2>thing <[1>right <[2>yeah yeah <{><[>no oh no <[>mm um less special occasions yeah yeah <{><[>that's right yes well we had um craig's father <.>died <,> <[>yeah oh beginning of the month and i'd rung her so she got phoned three times in two weeks or something <{><[>so one thing and another cos i just <,> rang her the week before and then <,> oh was her birthday <&>14:00 <[>oh gosh <{><[>yeah <[>then he died <,> <{><[>then we rang and told her how things went <[>oh oh sorry to hear that yeah yeah <{><[>so <[>yeah you know we had been expecting it really you know <,> um <,> his heart <.>was we knew it was failing and he had about three major heart attacks so oh gosh it was sort of on borrowed time from then on yes yeah so um when he went he went downhill quite quickly and went you know <,> sort of went suddenly he arrested and they just put him into hospital and <,> he arrested and they tried to revive him but <.>y you know his kidneys and everything i think had failed <{><[>word he'd seen a specialist just before he said his heart was enlarged so there wasn't anything they could do by then <,> but craig's mum's now managing on her own and adjusting to that <[>right mm that's sad for them isn't it i <{><[>think <[>yes it is yes yeah yeah how old is SHE <&>15:00 um she's seventy <,> no when was she that <,> seventy six oh yeah yeah yep <{><[>so word <[>it's just <.>a yeah yeah you know the adjustments that are demanded of us as human beings at all stages of life aren't there there ARE yes yeah at seventy six start again and you sort <.>of mm mm i suppose one must have it in the back of your mind when you're <,> get to that stage yep yep oh yes i think she had been preparing herself yeah yeah mm yeah mm yep yeah so but anyway <,> um <,> <{><[>you're busy painting <[>are you are you <.>g yes mm yes <.>w <.>w would you like to come up we're actually <{><[>here <[>well <.>wou yeah today and tomorrow <{1><[1>we're off to the south island on monday <{2><[2>but we're taking a few days well the <{3><[3>rest of the week off and we're going <&>sighs it's going to be beautifully fine you see we're doing the saint james walkway right <{1><[1>right whereabouts is that <{2><[2>word <[1>mm <.>so <[2>er lewis pass area it's just it's just a LOOP track oh okay through the saint james station which is just <.>off off the lewis pass road oh okay right yeah um so <.>wh what are <.>you what are <{><[>your plans <[>well oh well we're just um got no no plans you know just sort of messing around and <,> you know <,> wanting to go out and i don't know go to some art galleries and museums something you can you know do INside things seeing the weather is <{><[>like it is but we'd LOVE to pop round and see you you know when <.>you're when you're not so busy <,> with your painting <[>right yes well um <,> <.>d <.>w <.>l we DON'T mind if you don't mind <.>us mm we don't mind at all <.>w <.>w don't want to interrupt you i mean we've got yeah well what say well what about dinner <,> would you like to come up to dinner <{><[>i'll cook <.>a a roast and <&>17:00 <[>yeah oh we'll sort of pig out in the living room which is full of all the stuff <{><[>from the dining room <[>oh that would be really lovely okay yeah yeah that would be nice yeah okay we'll do that okay laughs and um i'm despatching george off to do the the tramping shop so he can get a bit of <,> get some provisions yes right okay that'll be really nice um so would all of you how many are you there well <,> well we're um teresa and david and tony and <,> jonathon <.>how's well if we <,> did that maybe we could <,> you know bring you know sort of have make it more potluck or something what do you think word
