little bit before four yep i <.>don't <.>i'm i'm expecting that we might have to start at quarter past when um <{1><[1>tut you know <.>that that people will arrive AT four and <{2><[2>i was <,> thinking of it starting at four but inhales i think we'll have to just wait until there are a few people there <[1>right <[2>yep yeah there seems to have been lots of replies but whether people actually turn up on the day will probably depend on the weather <,> right <,> if it's a brilliantly fine day i don't expect many no always a difficult time in the summer um what with this form is it <.>d voc is my NAME going to be attached to this recording <&>19:00 no what they do when they transcribe they um <,,> they change all the names right so <.>they they it's not <.>this so when it says um <.>i i give permission for the recording of my voice to be used in the corpus of new zealand english to be used for linguistic research purposes and you sign it that's um <.>yo you're not signing that it's going to be attached to your name no <{><[>no it all becomes anonymous <[>no that's good yeah good but um <.>w where they need your permission written permission <{1><[1>and they also need all that other information <{2><[2>about it so that they can <{3><[3>class it <[1>yeah <[2>yeah <[3>yeah yeah yeah no all the names <.>apparent ANY name that's mentioned it's all um transcribed differently yeah okay yeah good good <{><[>i'm surprised they don't ask WHERE did you spend most of <.>your <,> where did you grow up <[>that's good well er <.>they they say that something in there don't they <{><[>where were you born <[>no where were you BORN yeah i was born in wellington but i grew up in auckland oh no no there's no regional differences <{1><[1>in there's <.>n very there's only one regional difference and that's the r from <{2><[2>southland <[1>mm <[2>mm yeah andrew's starting on <.>a possibly on a new project sometime inhales oh and trying to <&>20:00 TRACE where our <.>accent <.>e accents have come from from migration oh right sounds a really interesting thing <{1><[1>but it's you know it's couple of years away to set <{2><[2>that up but looking at migration patterns from england <{3><[3>or from britain in particular and seeing how it's affected <{4><[4>accent yeah cos it was apparently apparent by about the turn of the century <[1>yeah <[2>yeah <[3>yeah <[4>yeah right yeah um school inspectors started um <,> remarking on how the <.>vowels vowels had changed right <{><[>um okay well <.>i what i'll do is <.>i'll is i'll put this in my bag and i'll give it to you tomorrow <[>mhm good but you help me to remember to yes um <,> yeah <.>an and you're fine? yeah <.>i'm i was sick last when <.>y when you got that message from laura yeah i got a <.>p very heavy period and then also um tut i got the flu er voc heavy cold from the dancers at the same time i just <{><[><.>felt i felt dead i felt AWFUL <[>right yeah then <.>i hannah got the cold laughs and then andrew got it so it sort of passes through the family <&>21:00 oh dear yeah but i'm i'm over the worst of that <{><[>i'm very nervous about sunday very nervous <[>but you're all right oh well you don't need to be no i know i don't need to be but i AM i keep on thinking <.>i <.>i voc i go from thinking oh there'll be HUNDREDS of people there and we'll get LOTS of bookings <{1><[1>to inhales thinking we're not going to get any <{2><[2>laughs yeah but <.>that there's i've had interest from palmerston north and levin and i haven't even advertised there the people have just been sent brochures or got hold of them <[1>yeah <[2>yeah yeah so if we can get some travel money which i haven't heard about from the trust yet inhales so how's all <{><[>your departure going there at <&>name of company <[>oh tut oh good i've got a sea of paper in front of me at the moment but i'll get there are you having any um departure parties yeah just <.>after i had <.>a a sort of a morning tea thing the other day yeah that's the tradition yeah you have to pay for it yourself <{><[>laughs <[>laughs i see they don't give anything away laughs no laughs yes <&>pronounced as yesh but i <.>bet better <.>kick <{1><[1>keep at it so um yeah <{2><[2>so <.>i <.>i'll <[1>yeah yeah <[2>so we'll see you tomorrow <{><[>and we'll see you on sunday too <[>yeah yeah okay okay <{><[>good <,> bye <[>good <,>
