Survey and general bibliography ("lettsurv.txt")

Note:

(a) The letters are individually listed in the hlp-files attributed
to the textfiles by analogous names. So the textfile "letter15.txt" is
accompanied by a helpfile "letter15.hlp". In the following survey
the running numbers added in brackets refer to those lists.

(b) Capitalization has been generally ignored.
Superscript letters, symbols and diacritical signs, slashes
and short editorial comments in brackets have been left out.
Letters in raised position meant as abbreviations have been
normalized as to both position and size. We have not bothered about
any layout questions. The lines of the given texts are,
therefore, not the lines of the editions used for this corpus.

(c) Another -- tagged -- version of this corpus of letters is
available from ICAMET. The tags refer to tense and aspect only.
