  <WSC#DPC059:0005:AC>
      i got out of bed because people kept ringing up

  <WSC#DPC059:0010:BS>
      oh who rang

  <WSC#DPC059:0015:BS>
      <.>nothing</.> no one for you

  <WSC#DPC059:0020:AC>
      well you know

  <WSC#DPC059:0025:BS>
      and how long did it take you

  <WSC#DPC059:0030:AC>
      about <,,> less than three hours just under three hours

  <WSC#DPC059:0035:BS>
      oh good

  <WSC#DPC059:0040:AC>
      but i haven't done downstairs

  <WSC#DPC059:0045:BS>
      no but you <.>can</.> you can do <.>that</.> you can do that
      tomorrow if you <{><[>like

  <WSC#DPC059:0050:BS>
      i mean you <.>must</.></[> <.>you</.> what time are you taking
      thomas to <.>s</.>

  <WSC#DPC059:0055:AC>
      <[>okay tomorrow morning</[></{>

  <WSC#DPC059:0060:AC>
      i'm not taking <{><[>thomas</[> to school <,,>

  <WSC#DPC059:0065:AC>
      i'm going over to brooklyn

  <WSC#DPC059:0070:BS>
      <[>school</[></{>

  <WSC#DPC059:0075:BS>
      yeah but aren't you going to pick up those crates that thomas
      had at school

  <WSC#DPC059:0080:AC>
      in the afternoon about three oclock ten past three

  <WSC#DPC059:0085:BS>
      oh <,,> <drawls><softly>um</softly></drawls> <,> yeah i was just
      thinking if you actually lived at HOME if you were a student at
      vic you could actually do it couldn't you

  <WSC#DPC059:0090:BS>
      i mean it would be quite good <latch>

  <WSC#DPC059:0095:AC>
      flatting here <latch>

  <WSC#DPC059:0100:BS>
      yeah <&>1:00</&>

  <WSC#DPC059:0105:AC>
      well missus wilkins said i could do it over there i mean every
      <{><[>week</[> but <.>they</.> they wanted me to do it every
      week

  <WSC#DPC059:0110:BS>
      <[>yeah</[></{>

  <WSC#DPC059:0115:BS>
      pity in some ways isn't it because it's quite good money

  <WSC#DPC059:0120:AC>
      mm

  <WSC#DPC059:0125:BS>
      do you think thomas would do it

  <WSC#DPC059:0130:AC>
      they <.>wouldn't</.> they wouldn't want thomas

  <WSC#DPC059:0135:BS>
      mm

  <WSC#DPC059:0140:AC>
      it's not like they NEED someone

  <WSC#DPC059:0145:AC>
      it's just they're just doing it as a favour because susannah's a
      mate

  <WSC#DPC059:0150:BS>
      <drawls>yeah</drawls> <,,>

  <WSC#DPC059:0155:AC>
      not like they need <{><[>anyone</[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0160:BS>
      <[>i've</[></{> OCCASIONALLY thought that you could actually do
      some work for kelvin and sharon but <{><[>i'm not <.>sure</.></[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0165:AC>
      <[>but <.>they</.></[></{> i should just do it for them for free

  <WSC#DPC059:0170:BS>
      yeah tricky isn't it <latch>

  <WSC#DPC059:0175:AC>
      and also you don't want to sort of overstep their privacy like
      <latch>

  <WSC#DPC059:0180:BS>
      no <latch>

  <WSC#DPC059:0185:AC>
      there's things about probably kelvin's bathroom and that that
      they don't really WANT people <.>to</.> i don't know but <,> i
      just feel <.>that</.> <,> i mean i help them when i'm there

  <WSC#DPC059:0190:BS>
      mm

  <WSC#DPC059:0195:AC>
      i always do dishes and stuff like that and try and help cooking
      if they let me

  <WSC#DPC059:0200:BS>
      mm

  <WSC#DPC059:0205:AC>
      i don't think there's REALLY a lot i could do there

  <WSC#DPC059:0210:AC>
      i would <.>never</.> i wouldn't want to ask them for money
      anyway

  <WSC#DPC059:0215:BS>
      no i know

  <WSC#DPC059:0220:AC>
      they haven't got a lot to throw around

  <WSC#DPC059:0225:BS>
      right <&>2:00</&>

  <WSC#DPC059:0230:AC>
      whereas missus wilkins has got a fair bit <{><[><softly><unclear>word</unclear></softly></[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0235:BS>
      <[>do <.>they</.> they</[></{> must <.>have</.> they have a
      student job search <{><[>at otago</[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0240:AC>
      <[>in the <.>un</.></[></{> yeah but i'm going to be working in
      the kitchen <,,> hopefully play schmaltzy piano

  <WSC#DPC059:0245:BS>
      oh yes of course

  <WSC#DPC059:0250:AC>
      i'll have a bit of baby sitting for joy robinson maybe <,,> and
      what was the other thing the <.>DRY</.> and the drycleaning lady
      <,,>

  <WSC#DPC059:0255:AC>
      oh did i tell you that

  <WSC#DPC059:0260:BS>
      no

  <WSC#DPC059:0265:AC>
      well knox has a drycleaning agency

  <WSC#DPC059:0270:AC>
      <O>tut</O> it's a drycleaning agency and it's usually a second
      year girl does it and it was going to be this girl gerry but
      she's decided to go flatting <{><[>and you get a CUT</[> you see

  <WSC#DPC059:0275:AC>
      you get you get really cheap drycleaning and then you get <.>a</.>
      a profit for being the agency cos how do you think drycleaning
      agencies operate the ones in town like dentice

  <WSC#DPC059:0280:AC>
      i mean the actual little agencies like kelburn <,> drycleaning
      agency at the <.>v</.> at the video shop they get a CUT

  <WSC#DPC059:0285:AC>
      that's why they do it so i get a CUT <O>laughs</O>

  <WSC#DPC059:0290:BS>
      <[>oh terrific</[></{>

  <WSC#DPC059:0295:BS>
      oh that's terrific

  <WSC#DPC059:0300:AC>
      and i don't do <.>any</.> <{1><[1>all</[1> you have to do they
      pick it up and deliver it

  <WSC#DPC059:0305:AC>
      all you have to do is have it ready for them when they want to
      <&>3:00</&> pick it up <softly>and pick it up and get it
      afterwards and take people's money off them</softly>

  <WSC#DPC059:0310:AC>
      oh and you ring up with the <laughs>orders</laughs>

  <WSC#DPC059:0315:AC>
      you ring up and you go <with pseudo American accent>this is
      agent four seven two nine</with pseudo American accent> <.>and</.>
      and do all these codes and things and sound like a spy and you
      get money for it <{2><[2>so hopefully</[2> no one else has
      claimed that because i sort of said to the person that i'd be
      quite keen to do it and they said okay but then normally <,,>
      <O>voc</O> <O>laughs</O> um <latch>

  <WSC#DPC059:0320:BS>
      <[1>oh <O>tut</O></[1></{1>

  <WSC#DPC059:0325:BS>
      <[2>oh it's terrific</[2></{2>

  <WSC#DPC059:0330:BS>
      sounds like <?>crackers</?>

  <WSC#DPC059:0335:AC>
      sounds like an explosion <,> um <,>

  <WSC#DPC059:0340:AC>
      normally the room mate of the person like gerry was rooming with
      janet <,> and now gerry's going flatting and janet's rooming
      with another girl but janet might still want to do it

  <WSC#DPC059:0345:AC>
      i don't <{><[>know</[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0350:BS>
      <[><drawls>oh</[></{> i see</drawls> <latch>

  <WSC#DPC059:0355:AC>
      but i've said that i want to do it and no one's said <.>oh</.>
      <.>well</.> but janet's doing it so hopefully i'll get that but
      i might not but it'd be really good to have it because at <.>balls</.>
      for balls everyone gets their clothes drycleaned <laughs>just</laughs>
      straight after the ball so you get this great big amounts of
      money

  <WSC#DPC059:0360:BS>
      <softly>terrific</softly>

  <WSC#DPC059:0365:AC>
      i don't think you make much but it's not really <&>4:00</&> any
      work either <O>inhales</O> <{><[><O>voc</O></[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0370:BS>
      <[>what about</[></{> the flower thing

  <WSC#DPC059:0375:AC>
      oh the flower thing yeah

  <WSC#DPC059:0380:BS>
      how often will that happen

  <WSC#DPC059:0385:AC>
      balls

  <WSC#DPC059:0390:BS>
      <laughs>but how often is that <{1><[1><O>laughs</O></[1> balls</laughs>
      <{2><[2><O>laughs</O></[2>

  <WSC#DPC059:0395:AC>
      <[1><O>laughs</O></[1></{1>

  <WSC#DPC059:0400:AC>
      <[2><with pseudo American accent>balls <?>holmes</?></with pseudo American accent></[2></{2>
      um <,> that is <&>sighs</&> knox ball APRIL full ball in april
      the med ball in JUNE and the <,,> the winter ball in july three
      balls <,> would be all that we'd bother doing it for

  <WSC#DPC059:0405:AC>
      <{><[>those are the ones that <unclear>word</unclear></[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0410:BS>
      <[><O>voc</O> <O>clears throat</O> how much</[></{> did robert
      make

  <WSC#DPC059:0415:AC>
      he made enough to cover him going to <.>the</.> to each ball
      basically sixty dollars a time <latch>

  <WSC#DPC059:0420:BS>
      oh i see

  <WSC#DPC059:0425:BS>
      <{1><[1>does it cost</[1> SIXTY dollars for a ball <{2><[2>ticket</[2>

  <WSC#DPC059:0430:AC>
      <[1>but <.>also</.></[1></{1>

  <WSC#DPC059:0435:AC>
      <[2>for a</[2></{2> single ball ticket <{><[>yeah yeah</[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0440:BS>
      <[>a single</[></{> <,,> WHY

  <WSC#DPC059:0445:AC>
      well you usually get open bar and food

  <WSC#DPC059:0450:BS>
      oh open bar

  <WSC#DPC059:0455:AC>
      and that's um

  <WSC#DPC059:0460:BS>
      <.>that's</.> <.>i</.> open bars are tricky because it's almost
      means <.>you</.> <{><[>you might as well drink as much as you
      possibly can</[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0465:AC>
      <[>you've got to <.>drink</.> <,> but the thing if you have an
      open</[></{> BAR they gave you really <.>w</.> really badly
      watered down drinks <&>5:00</&>

  <WSC#DPC059:0470:BS>
      <laughs>do they</laughs> <,> <drawls>oh</drawls>

  <WSC#DPC059:0475:AC>
      like um

  <WSC#DPC059:0480:BS>
      what do YOU drink <O>voc</O> <{><[>at those things</[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0485:AC>
      <[>i drink lots of</[></{> things

  <WSC#DPC059:0490:BS>
      because you know it's bad to MIX different

  <WSC#DPC059:0495:AC>
      <laughs>i mix</laughs> <{><[><O>laughs</O></[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0500:BS>
      <[><laughs>do you</laughs></[></{>

  <WSC#DPC059:0505:AC>
      no i don't usually mix

  <WSC#DPC059:0510:AC>
      i don't know

  <WSC#DPC059:0515:AC>
      i mean i'll drink <,,> i suppose spirits mainly <,> old people's
      drinks <with silly voice>argh alcoholics' drinks</with silly voice>

  <WSC#DPC059:0520:AC>
      i'm sensible <,,><&>3</&>

  <WSC#DPC059:0525:BS>
      yeah so do you just ask for GIN and something

  <WSC#DPC059:0530:AC>
      brandy and <laughs>ginger</laughs>

  <WSC#DPC059:0535:BS>
      do you <O>laughs</O>

  <WSC#DPC059:0540:AC>
      like my mother <{><[>or</[> gin lime and lemonade

  <WSC#DPC059:0545:BS>
      <[><unclear>word</unclear></[></{>

  <WSC#DPC059:0550:BS>
      <.>i</.> <{><[>I think <slowly>that</[> people should get two
      drinks free for the evening</slowly> and then have to pay
      through the nose for the rest of them and then people might have
      two drinks

  <WSC#DPC059:0555:AC>
      <[>vodka lime and lemonade vodka and orange</[></{>

  <WSC#DPC059:0560:AC>
      <drawls>no</drawls> well no one drives

  <WSC#DPC059:0565:AC>
      <{><[>i mean that's the good thing about it

  <WSC#DPC059:0570:AC>
      NO ONE</[> is driving

  <WSC#DPC059:0575:BS>
      <[>no that's right yes</[></{>

  <WSC#DPC059:0580:BS>
      no one?

  <WSC#DPC059:0585:AC>
      no one everyone gets taxis <&>6:00</&>

  <WSC#DPC059:0590:BS>
      <softly>oh that's <{><[>good</softly></[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0595:AC>
      <[>that's</[></{> i mean if you're having a ball you don't
      really drive to a ball

  <WSC#DPC059:0600:AC>
      you get um and for the one at larnach castle you get buses

  <WSC#DPC059:0605:AC>
      often they have bus services on

  <WSC#DPC059:0610:AC>
      you have either buses or <.>tak</.> or you all get taxis

  <WSC#DPC059:0615:BS>
      mm <{><[><.>who</.> who does the organisation for</[> the knox
      ball

  <WSC#DPC059:0620:AC>
      <[>no one really drives

  <WSC#DPC059:0625:AC>
      i'm sure a couple of people drive but then they wouldn't drink</[></{>

  <WSC#DPC059:0630:AC>
      the um social work on the exec

  <WSC#DPC059:0635:BS>
      so that's ANN

  <WSC#DPC059:0640:AC>
      no ann's not the social work

  <WSC#DPC059:0645:AC>
      she'd be a disaster

  <WSC#DPC059:0650:BS>
      right

  <WSC#DPC059:0655:AC>
      ann's cultural affairs which means you organise a garden party
      which means NOTHING basically

  <WSC#DPC059:0660:AC>
      cultural affairs is what they put the person who's not going to
      do any work on <laughs>so they put ann on there</laughs>

  <WSC#DPC059:0665:AC>
      she sort of suits it though cos ann <.>doesn't</.> like everyone
      thinks that ann organised the ski trip but her PARENTS organised
      the WHOLE THING

  <WSC#DPC059:0670:AC>
      it's true

  <WSC#DPC059:0675:AC>
      everyone thinks she's an awesome organiser and that's why she
      got the job on exec but she <.>doe</.> she CAN'T organise
      ANYTHING at all

  <WSC#DPC059:0680:AC>
      i mean she's a real mess

  <WSC#DPC059:0685:AC>
      you know she's REALLY NICE and she's really lovely but she's a
      TOTAL MESS totally <&>7:00</&> disorganised and messy <.>and</.>
      <.>and</.> so i mean it's just she needs <laughs>to be on a job
      like that</laughs> where she doesn't have to do anything

  <WSC#DPC059:0690:BS>
      mm

  <WSC#DPC059:0695:AC>
      <O>tut</O> but she can help out the other people and then <{><[><.>they</.></[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0700:BS>
      <[>cultural</[></{> affairs sounds as though it's sort of drama
      and music <{><[>and that sort of thing</[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0705:AC>
      <[>oh well you have <.>the</.> there's</[></{> a spring concert
      that you do with the <.>other</.> with the LAST year's cultural
      affairs person cos that was last term and so that was when
      they've got the <.>c</.> sort of crossover <,,> <{><[>and what
      you do for that is</[> compere the concert i think

  <WSC#DPC059:0710:BS>
      <[>oh i see</[></{>

  <WSC#DPC059:0715:BS>
      so did ann do that

  <WSC#DPC059:0720:AC>
      yeah

  <WSC#DPC059:0725:BS>
      was she good at that

  <WSC#DPC059:0730:AC>
      she was FUNNY cos um i think she'd been drinking <,> and she was
      sitting there in a tiny little dress um and basically making
      eyes at every male in the audience and <,> <softly>being <.>a</.>
      like that</softly>

  <WSC#DPC059:0735:BS>
      <softly>oh right</softly>

  <WSC#DPC059:0740:AC>
      she was funny

  <WSC#DPC059:0745:BS>
      has she got <.>a</.> has she got a boyfriend

  <WSC#DPC059:0750:BS>
      i mean anyone in particular

  <WSC#DPC059:0755:AC>
      no <,,>

  <WSC#DPC059:0760:BS>
      i liked her

  <WSC#DPC059:0765:AC>
      she's nice

  <WSC#DPC059:0770:AC>
      she's a REALLY nice person <,,>

  <WSC#DPC059:0775:AC>
      she's just um

  <WSC#DPC059:0780:BS>
      how did she go in her exam

  <WSC#DPC059:0785:AC>
      she got an a minus for law

  <WSC#DPC059:0790:BS>
      oh that's good isn't it <&>8:00</&>

  <WSC#DPC059:0795:AC>
      yeah so she's straight into law but i don't know what she did in
      everything else

  <WSC#DPC059:0800:AC>
      <.>she</.> she passed everything else

  <WSC#DPC059:0805:AC>
      she didn't say what she got

  <WSC#DPC059:0810:BS>
      hey you know how knox won't take people back if they fail

  <WSC#DPC059:0815:AC>
      yeah <latch>

  <WSC#DPC059:0820:BS>
      did anyone fail

  <WSC#DPC059:0825:AC>
      yes but she's not coming back but they would have taken her back
      anyway cos <.>she's</.> <,> she worked really hard and she's
      nice

  <WSC#DPC059:0830:AC>
      <{1><[1>she <.>was</.></[1> ella wright

  <WSC#DPC059:0835:AC>
      she was head girl of um <,,> southland girls <{2><[2><,,> and</[2>
      um yeah well she's had a few problems <.>with</.> <,> she's a
      nice girl though

  <WSC#DPC059:0840:AC>
      she's <.>g</.> really cool <,>

  <WSC#DPC059:0845:AC>
      she seems to have just passed two papers or something

  <WSC#DPC059:0850:AC>
      it's really quite sad

  <WSC#DPC059:0855:AC>
      it's not like she doesn't work very <.>mu</.> i mean she doesn't
      do much work but she got really stressed at exam time and that
      didn't <{3><[3>help at</[3> all

  <WSC#DPC059:0860:AC>
      i bought her one of those little jelly balls that you throw at
      the wall and they go <&>makes slurping noise</&> and stick to
      the wall and then they go <.>back</.> get back into a ball and
      roll down the wall

  <WSC#DPC059:0865:AC>
      have you seen them

  <WSC#DPC059:0870:BS>
      <[1>mm</[1></{1>

  <WSC#DPC059:0875:BS>
      <[2>tough on HER though</[2></{2>

  <WSC#DPC059:0880:BS>
      <[3>did she</[3></{3>

  <WSC#DPC059:0885:BS>
      <laughs>no</laughs> <&>9:00</&>

  <WSC#DPC059:0890:AC>
      oh i had one but i LOST it at the end of the year so i couldn't
      bring it home but <.>they</.> they're about four dollars and you
      buy them in toy shops and <.>they</.> they feel like JELLY like
      they feel like you <.>can</.> you can <.>make</.> put them into
      different shapes that just go straight back to a ball <,> <.>and</.>
      so they <.>don't</.> like they're JELLY and you can throw them
      at a wall and they go in this great big thing about this big

  <WSC#DPC059:0895:BS>
      mm why

  <WSC#DPC059:0900:BS>
      i mean <.>what</.> i mean <.>wh</.> how do <{><[><.>they</.></[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0905:AC>
      <[>it's the</[></{> stuff they're made out of

  <WSC#DPC059:0910:AC>
      it's <{><[>some chemical or something</[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0915:BS>
      <[>is it sort of</[></{> like plastic

  <WSC#DPC059:0920:AC>
      sort of <,> plastic jelly stuff and it's um

  <WSC#DPC059:0925:BS>
      you know that stuff that <drawls>um</drawls> <O>tut</O> oh <,>
      sandra zammet had in london and you <.>s</.> <latch>

  <WSC#DPC059:0930:AC>
      that's totally different

  <WSC#DPC059:0935:AC>
      <{><[>that's a spray</[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0940:BS>
      <[>is it

  <WSC#DPC059:0945:BS>
      oh</[></{> YEAH but i mean that <.>was</.> that was a peculiar
      substance <{><[>wasn't it</[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0950:AC>
      <[>yeah <.>it</.></[></{> it's not like that

  <WSC#DPC059:0955:AC>
      <.>it's</.> it just looks like you know you get those bouncy
      balls that are see through and have <{><[>stars in the middle</[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0960:BS>
      <[>mm mm and they're</[></{> VERY VERY pingy very <{><[><,>
      bouncy</[>

  <WSC#DPC059:0965:AC>
      <[>yeah but it looks</[></{> exactly like that <{1><[1>only</[1>
      the material's different so that if you touch it it <.>feels</.>
      feels all sticky so it feels like if you're holding it it <.>you'd</.>
      it'd stick to you but it doesn't stick at all <,,> quite strange
      <&>10:00</&>

  <WSC#DPC059:0970:AC>
      does stick a little bit to you <.>but</.> but then you take your
      hand off it and your hand hasn't got anything on

  <WSC#DPC059:0975:AC>
      it's totally clean <{2><[2>so</[2> it's totally it goes it goes
      back into itself

  <WSC#DPC059:0980:AC>
      you'd think that it would get all messy but it doesn't and you
      throw it at the wall and it like goes kersplat on the wall and
      looks almost flat depending on how hard <laughs>you can <{3><[3>throw
      it</laughs></[3> and um and then it gradually just goes sort of
      <,,> like terminator <laughs>two</laughs> where the faces melt
      <{4><[4>and it just slowly</[4> goes into a ball and then it
      ROLLS itself down the wall and just lands on the floor so i
      bought her one of those because they're really good for stress
      relief and you just <{5><[5>throw them at a wall so i bought her
      one of those as a <.>s</.> <.>an</.></[5> an exam time stress
      reliever and that's what i sent jean for her birthday as well

  <WSC#DPC059:0985:BS>
      <[1>oh</[1></{1>

  <WSC#DPC059:0990:BS>
      <[2>mm</[2></{2>

  <WSC#DPC059:0995:BS>
      <[3><O>laughs</O></[3></{3>

  <WSC#DPC059:1000:BS>
      <[4><O>laughs</O> i haven't seen terminator two</[4></{4>

  <WSC#DPC059:1005:BS>
      <[5><unclear>word</unclear> perhaps i <.>need</.> probably ought
      to buy ME one</[5></{5> <&>10:40</&>
</I>
