NICE guy and he's LOADed eh <{1><[1>he'd make a DAMN <{2><[2>good catch <[1>yeah <[2>you never told me THAT <{><[>laughs <[>word no you just don't you don't get the impression <{1><[1>that when you look at him but <,> <{2><[2>if something's worth spending money on he he forks it out no questions <{3><[3>asked he's really funny <[1>no <[2>no <[3>like you know the word <{><[>he owns the video equipment <[>wow lucky guy yeah yeah no whenever like we invite him round for tea yet he usually like brings pizza or something with him mm and like he's a student and last time we invited him round trevor said look DON'T bring anything and he brought round a <,> <{1><[1>you know MOvenpick chocolate that you know the big huge ones that are <{2><[2>really expensive and oh voc we pigged out it was very nice but you know he always brings something if he comes round <,> he's the one that brought me the flowers when the cat died <[1>laughs <[2>oh no laughs really? that's sweet <&>1:00 yeah he's quite nice <,> REALLY nice or you can chain yourself to his trailer yeah laughs yeah we're babysitting his <&>cat's name isn't it we might we might get a present for babysitting his cat <,> oh oh i wouldn't say he was FREE with his money <{><[>word <[>laughs clears throat yeah so what are you doing at the moment me? mm um you mean in terms of generally week by week <{><[>word <[>yes no i'm doing <.>a two new days a week accountancy with this friend of mine out at <&>name of place yeah he's got his own accountancy business <,,> so <,> that brings in a little bit of er steady income mm and then i've got my own accountancy clients who i've been doing precious little for lately i find <.>th that that will come in turn though that you know <{><[>once tax time comes you'll be <[>yeah well tax time's come laughs <{><[>word <[>laughs <&>2:00 word yeah no but it pardon it <{><[>does <[>do you advertise for accountancy? yeah nah not really cos our <{><[>neighbour just started doing that <&>sound of WN rummaging through drawer and she's got word business already word she sent out <,> i think she was word papers but she sent out word to all the word in town <[>voc although mm and taxi drivers and people like that right word some time mm i didn't want to go <,> too hard it's been a real mix up that <,> er i need to increase that business now <,> it's just a little bit uncertain what where i'm gonna be placed next year <,,> um if i get a bit of a permanent parttime job well i won't need to build up the accountancy so much yeah you know get a lot more money out of accountancy it's thirty five bucks an hour instead of yeah SIXTEEN dollars an hour working for this other guy <,> <{1><[1>and the plants well <,> at this stage there's probably fifty dead <{2><[2>word <[1>yeah <[2>laughs <&>3:00 <[2>laughs is that a <{><[>fact laughs <[>yeah it's er yeah i'm hoping that er <,> the mail order part of it'll <,> bring in you're going to love this five thousand clear this year <,> which'd be good and um we can build on that <,> we want to develop it a lot more and get into new zealand alpines but yeah do you like <{1><[1>do you want that to be your fulltime <,> job would you like that to be your <{2><[2>fulltime job <[1>mm <[2>yeah i'd like that to be my fulltime job i don't think you'd want to <{><[>worry word <[>i've ENJOYED doing that work yeah whereas all the other stuff voc always end up clockwatching <{><[>yeah <[>yeah every every other job i've ever had ended up <{><[>clockwatching in the end <[>word yeah you know might be challenging at the start but after that yeah <,> yep that's the problem with a job that you have to go and sit there all day eh in an office <,> <{><[>word <[>i think office jobs are particularly bad for it yeah mm yeah i didn't <,> clockwatch so much <&>4:00 <{><[>um working outdoors odd jobs <,> especially with accountancy it gets too bloody monotonous after a while <[>that sounds good yeah um <,> yes i think <{><[>with accountancy word <[>not a lot of use for creativity there either is there <{><[>laughs <[>not a hell of a lot <,> a LITTLE bit if you're doing all your own work for your own clients then you get you get to do the whole spectrum of work which is a bit better but mm if you're doing it for somebody else you tend to be doing <,> more of the mundane mechanical sort of depends on what you're trying to word even <{><[>though i'm <,> i'm <.>pr doing things i like to <,> completing all these accounts for this guy <,> it's still not quite the same because he's the one who goes to the client interviews and goes tripping around town and has a great time with clients you know <[>yeah yeah and actually gets to meet the people now that's part of <,> some of the best part of actually meeting all this different range of <,> people yeah um you know getting to know them and yeah see them in the street or we you <&>5:00 just drop in get some time to try and say oh i don't know gidday how are things going yeah need a hand with anything you want to know anything i haven't got time to help you anyway <{><[>but that's laughs <[>laughs <,> mm <,> but your landscaping would you do <.>th would you <{><[>get into that <[>i'd like <.>t i'd like to do more landscaping yeah <{><[>cos <.>i that that it'd be quite FUN <[>but again <{><[>yeah <[>yeah try that sort of thing too yeah but there but there's a lot of landscapers about mm heaps down in christchurch you know yeah we we had this in the front of the house we had this have you ever noticed this palm wasn't it mm REALLY really big palm and it was just in this corner here and we didn't get ANY light mm in here and we got this voc oh we didn't but the landlady got this guy and he was a real <,> jerk <{><[>actually laughs yeah but he just <,> voc he took it out and he word for just that tree <[>cowboy laughs mm we all think word actually lived after all <&>6:00 that cos it <,> took him ages to cut it out that's probably cos it's had word on it that plant <{><[>yeah <[>yeah bigger than they thought it was gonna be yeah mm the poor old um they had to back their truck in from the nextdoor neighbours' up against the fence to get it <,> moderate size higher than the back and it had the <{><[>truck off the ground no trouble <[>yeah laughs that was quite exciting actually watching it go but it made it such a difference but it was such a stupid place to plant it mm it REALLY really was i was just looking at the landscaping job across the road actually just now oh i don't like that <{><[>laughs <[>a bit boring isn't it it's just yeah <{1><[1>just next to that brick place <{2><[2>they've they've built a place down the back <[1>the brick place <[2>right yeah it's a rental they've just it sounds like they've just kicked those tenants out actually which is good cos they were a bit pretty rotten <,> and we're sure they're the ones that ran over sheba laughs mm mm but why all of a sudden word oh she licked the salt <,,> under the trees over there <&>7:00 mm i'm going to have a little funeral for her <{><[>to say i'm sorry five more weeks i'll go and speak to her word laughs <[>mm i'll say it's been a bad year this year and we can't <{><[>wait till the end of it <[>heaps of relatives dying left right <{><[>and centre <[>oh yeah mm well it's not even this year it's it was over about a two month period yeah first our cat then debbie's dad then grandma then kathryn <,,> not a lot <{><[>left <[>i can't i can't wait till the end of ninety three <{><[>you know <,> it's been a grotty year this year <[>yeah mm still four months to go <{1><[1>what are you saying we've got to we've got five <{2><[2>more er <[1>laughs <[1>word <[2>ellen's just another word <{><[>laughs <[>yeah no i think there's still <,> still time for it to turn around <,,> oh i can't see anything brilliant happening in the next <{><[>inhales few months <[>very little we've got a lotto draw this weekend that's true that <{1><[1>would <{2><[2>be quite nice <[1>mm <[2>that would make a difference oh it <{><[>might yeah <[>i think you need a new life a <{><[>new life <[>a new life? <&>8:00 yeah <,> starting starting a new life no we don't want to start on a new life <{1><[1>one's <{2><[2>one's enough <[1>voc <[2>well we'll be starting a new life next year that'd be <{><[>right <[>no no no no no no no i mean starting a new <{><[>word laughs <[>oh NO SHIT no laughs we'll need a bedroom first oh no we don't want another one of THOSE <,> not yet anyway <,,> don't mean to <{><[>put you off <[>that's a bit laughs a few of those <{><[>others first <[>laughs laughs <,> when do you head up to new plymouth um <,> probably around about the <,,> er probably about ten days into november somewhere round about then mm fairly long <{1><[1>we're having a holiday <{2><[2>first <[1>straight after exams <[2>nah it's not straight after mine'll all be over by the end of october will they mm yeah well we're <{1><[1>planning on having a holiday it all depends if we we can afford it but <{2><[2>just a little camping holiday <[1>mm <[2>yeah if we've got heaps of money we're actually gonna spend a week <,> round the work boats and about on the lake so you say yeah mm but if we've got no money <{><[>then <[>going down the coast will be pretty cheap your biggest expense is gonna be the gas <&>9:00 yeah <{><[>mm <[>you could go <{><[>and stay with kurt <,> down in dunedin <[>yeah <{><[>no well <&>name 'll be there yeah i want yeah i want i <.>w i'd like to go to like what's it called mitre peak? <[>no we never go there again anyway oh <{><[>yeah <[>where's that milford? milford yeah i'd love to go down there but it seems such a long way and there's nothing else down <{><[>there <[>i know i haven't been there yet <{><[>laughs <[>laughs and i've <{><[>only been through southland twice once going down to gore and once coming back all laugh <[>i'd love to go there both times at night laughs so i haven't seen a <,> hell of a lot of it down there no i'd like to go there because like it's supposed to be absolutely beautiful eh <{><[>with all the fiords and things <[>mm yeah you're supposed <,> voc you need to get it on the right day though word apparently you know <,,> four out of six days voc or more it's <,> a bit grotty down there <{><[>yeah <[>just like stratford you know one day in ten you get a perfect day that's mm still and cloudless skies but that wouldn't be word like <.>i it's an awful awful road <&>10:00 isn't it that like we could catch a <{><[>bus and i mean it's te anau is it <,> i'd love to do it yeah i would <[>mm mm be quite nice <{1><[1>but it seems a long way to go <{2><[2>unless it's really <{3><[3>close <[1>word <[2>be nice <[3>mm i'd like <.>t i'm already planning on going down through to haast this year past haast <,> i've never been through that it's supposed to be REALLY really nice where's <{><[>that <[>and they've just sealed the <{><[>road too it's <[><.>ho how far down is that it's right down that's <,> <.>the lowest pass or <{><[>southernmost pass from the west coast to the east coast <[>mm oh okay i'm not sure which one we want to go through which one <,> do you want to go <{><[>through arthur's or <[>way down the southwestern oh i don't know the only pass that really came into our plans was further up and i can't remember which one it was they're all cos we're not sure what to do whether to <{1><[1>actually have our holiday <,> first <,> <{2><[2>and come back and clean up and go <[1>mm <[2>we're gonna have to we're gonna have to well not necessarily come back and clean up but we're gonna have to come back because i was thinking about it <,> there's no way i'm going to send the computer back by <,> carrier <&>11:00 mm but there's no way i'm gonna take that on holiday with us either no <{><[>mm <[>and <{><[>likewise <[>i suppose likewise there's a few other things yeah can't you store it somewhere like in peter's spare room or <{><[>something <[>yeah but that's it what everything <{><[>has to come back to christchurch <[>oh yeah <{><[>yeah <[>yeah which is originally we thought we'd just slip past carry on but we're gonna have to come back <&>11:19
