The utility "Splitter" is intended for splitting up large text files into small ones. The utility "Viewer" can be used to read in a text and then insert paragraph numbers in it, then re-save it eg. with [P1], [P2] codes in it. The utility "Text Converter" can be used to search-and-replace lots of words in lots of files at once. This is the main purpose of the "KeyWords" tool. The "WordList" tool makes a word list and shows the words in both alphabetical and frequency order. The "WordList" tool makes a word list and shows the words in both alphabetical and frequency order. "WordList" can also show the words ordered by the ending, eg. all the -ing forms together. "WordList" and "KeyWords" can both compare two word lists, showing how they're different. If they're roughly the same size, use "WordList". "WordList" can do 'detailed consistency analysis' which finds the words in common in up to 50 texts. The utility "Viewer" shows you a text file (or you can use your word processor). "Concord" is intended to find all instances of a word or phrase in various text files. "Concord" also plots where your search-word crops up in each text file. "Concord" can list the words near your search-word. These are the 'collocates'. The utility "Viewer" can read in 2 texts and then produce a joint version with sentences or paragraphs of both texts interspersed. "KeyWords" can find words which are key in the same text files as a given key word. These are called 'associates'. This computer is only a piece of plastic and this software can't do that. It'd be nice if it could, though.
