Remarks

The manuscript is in three hands: A, B and C. Hands A and B are scattered through the manuscript up to page 217.22 in Morris (see Laing for details). Hand C is responsible for pages 217.22 to 219 (end). Five sermons are shared with the Lambeth Homilies as follows:

Trinity iv = Lambeth vii
T xxvi = L xiii
T xxxii = L xv
T xxx = L xvi
T xxv = L xvii

According to Wells, the source is likely to be a 12th century collection of Latin sermons by a French or Norman rather than an Anglo-Saxon (although he gives no reason). Perhaps some of the collection is original. The sample consists of all the homilies. The parse is based on Morris's translation.
