Prepositional A (< IN, ON)

Depending on when the reduced preposition A- (< IN, ON) fused with its complement, combinations with A- are treated as unitary items (ABROAD, AMISS, AWAY, etc.) or as fused forms (ADAY, AFIRE, AMORROW, ANIGHT, ASIDE, ASUNDER, etc.).
